A number <strong>of</strong> <strong>amendments</strong> have occurred to the variation including:<br />

• Sub-clause (b) has been amended to refer to specific materials <strong>list</strong>ed in<br />

NSW Table 4 <strong>of</strong> NSW Specification C1.10.<br />

• A material in a Class 9b building used as an entertainment venue that is<br />

regulated under NSW Table 4 has been included under (c)(xiii)(A) as a<br />

material to which the exemption does not apply.<br />

Sub-clause (b) has been deleted. As a consequence, <strong>amendments</strong> have been<br />

made to sub-clause (c) and the remaining sub-clauses have been renumbered.<br />

The Footnote <strong>list</strong>ing other legislation has been updated.<br />

A new Qld Part G5 has been inserted.<br />

The following definitions have been inserted or amended:<br />

Brush fence<br />

As a consequence <strong>of</strong> a number <strong>of</strong> South <strong>Australian</strong><br />

variations being included, a new defined term has been<br />

inserted.<br />

Renewable A new defined term 'Small-scale Technology Certificate' has<br />

Energy Certificate been included as a consequence <strong>of</strong> changes to the<br />

<strong>Australian</strong> Government's Renewable Energy Target scheme<br />

and the removal <strong>of</strong> the defined term 'Renewable Energy<br />

Certificate'.<br />

The following references have been inserted or amended:<br />

SA A2.2<br />

Reference to SA A2.2 South <strong>Australian</strong> Minister's<br />

Specification — Structural Engineering S<strong>of</strong>tware Protocol<br />

has been deleted as it is no longer referenced.<br />

SA F1.7 The South <strong>Australian</strong> Minister’s Specification —<br />

Waterpro<strong>of</strong>ing <strong>of</strong> wet areas in buildings has been updated to<br />

the <strong>2012</strong> version.<br />

The South <strong>Australian</strong> variation has been deleted as a consequence <strong>of</strong> the<br />

adoption <strong>of</strong> the ABCB Protocol for Structural S<strong>of</strong>tware.<br />

A new variation has been included to require separation <strong>of</strong> a Class 2 building<br />

from a Class 10b brush fence.
