Mr Lew Syn Pau<br />

He was appointed as Independent<br />

Director of the Company in April 2000.<br />

He is a member of the Audit Committee.<br />

He is currently Chairman of an<br />

international executive search<br />

consultancy, Stanbridge International Pte<br />

Ltd and Director of Capital Connections<br />

Pte Ltd, a financial advisory consultancy<br />

firm. He is also a Director of many listed<br />

companies with businesses ranging from<br />

food, logistics, property to engineering<br />

in Singapore. He was previously<br />

Managing Director of NTUC Comfort<br />

and General Manager and Senior Country<br />

Officer of Credit Agricole Indosuez.<br />

He was the President of the Singapore<br />

Manufacturers Federation between 2002<br />

and 2006. He has been a Member of the<br />

Singapore Parliament from 1988 to 2001<br />

and was Chairman of the Government<br />

Parliamentary Committee for National<br />

Development. A Singapore Government<br />

scholar, Mr Lew also holds a Masters<br />

Degree in Engineering from the<br />

University of Cambridge, UK and a<br />

Masters Degree in Business<br />

Administration from Stanford<br />

University, USA.<br />

Mr Ong Kian Min<br />

He was appointed as an Independent<br />

Director in 8th April 2000 and last reappointed<br />

in 20th April 2006. He is<br />

Chairman of the Audit Committee and<br />

is also a member of the Remuneration<br />

and Nominating Committees. Mr Ong<br />

was called to the Bar of England and<br />

Wales in 1988 and to the Singapore<br />

Bar the following year. In addition to<br />

practising as a consultant with Drew &<br />

Napier LLC, a leading Singapore law<br />

firm, he is a senior adviser of Alpha<br />

Advisory Pte Ltd (a financial and<br />

corporate advisory firm) and an<br />

executive director of Katana Asset<br />

Management Pte Ltd. In his 19 years’<br />

of legal practice, he focused on<br />

corporate and commercial law such as<br />

mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures,<br />

restructuring and corporate finance.<br />

Mr Ong also serves as an independent<br />

director and chairs most of the audit<br />

committees of several other SGX-ST<br />

listed companies. Mr Ong was awarded<br />

the President’s Scholarship and Police<br />

Force Scholarship in 1979. He holds a<br />

Bachelor of Laws (Honours) external<br />

degree from the University of London<br />

and a Bachelor of Science (Honours)<br />

Degree from the Imperial College of<br />

Science and Technology in England.<br />

Mr Ong has been a Member of Parliament<br />

of Singapore since January 1997, and<br />

serves as Deputy Chairman of the<br />

Government Parliamentary Committee<br />

(GPC) for Transport.<br />

Mr Boon Yoon Chiang<br />

He was appointed as Independent<br />

Director of the Company in December<br />

2005. He is the Chairman/Managing<br />

Director of Jardine Matheson (Singapore)<br />

Ltd and Deputy Chairman of Cycle &<br />

Carriage <strong>Limited</strong>. In addition to the<br />

directorships of the various Jardine Group<br />

companies, he also serves on the Boards<br />

of other listed and public companies,<br />

including MNCs. He is the Honorary<br />

Secretary of the Singapore National<br />

Employers’ Federation, and a board<br />

member of the Singapore International<br />

Chamber of Commerce. He represents<br />

the Singapore Business Federation on<br />

the Council of ASEAN Chambers of<br />

Commerce and Industry (ASEAN-CCI).
