Supervisor WILLIAM W. MARTIN moved the adoption ofthe following order:
AN ORDER CONCURRING WITH THE PLANNING
COMMISSION TO APPROVE A ZONING TEXT
AMENDMENT TO SMARTCODE VERSION 9.0
WHEREAS, the Harrison County Board of Supervisors finds and does so determine
under Section 906 and based upon the recommendation ofthe Harrison County Planning
Commission and county departments, as well as its existing needs and development, and based
upon a reasonable consideration ofthe character ofthe district and neighborhood and suitability
for particular purposes, that the Harrison County Zoning Ordinance be amended to Smartcode
Version 9.0 ofthe Harrison County Zoning Ordinance. The case file number is 0903HC103.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDERED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF
HARRISON COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the Harrison County Zoning Ordinance ofthe County ofHarrison,
adopted the 28 th day ofAugust 2000, as amended, be and the same is hereby amended to provide
that the following described Smartcode Version 9.0 ofthe Harrison County Zoning Ordinance.
Section 500 Special Use and Overlay Districts
500.02.07 SmartCode. This district is intended to provide for
development consistent with the SmartCode ordinance. This
includes a mix of uses consistent with the sector designation
on the future land use map in the Harrison County
Comprehensive Plan.
SMARTCODE Version 9.0 follows this Order as Exhibit A.
SECTION 2: For good cause being shown and the interest and welfare ofHarrison
County, the citizens thereofrequire that the said Ordinance be in full force and effect
immediately upon its passage and enrolled as provided by law.
Supervisor CONNIE ROcKeD seconded the motion to adopt the above and
foregoing Ordinance whereupon the question was put to a vote with the following results:
