Olde Town Golf Club
Olde Town Golf Course is one of the oldest established golf clubs in Nova Scotia;
the traditional style course presents a challenge for all levels of golfers. The vista
from No. 2 tee at Olde Town is breath taking, looking down upon the course, Town
of Bridgewater and the LaHave River Valley. The course places a priority on accuracy
with its mature parkland forests, undlating fairways and postage stamp greens.
The signature hole at Olde Town is No. 8, a downhill par 5; this is the hole which
can be the difference between a good round and a great one. The golf course
was purchased in 2009 by new ownership and they have made a commitment to
restore and enhance the course back to its original beauty and prestige.

The Bluenose Golf Club is a picturesque, 9-hole golf club, which presents

Bluenose Golf Club offers many great views that overlook the beautiful and

Digby Pines Golf Resort and Spa
Significant upgrades over the past number of years have allowed the course
to keep pace with newer courses while maintaining the golf experience
that Stanley intended. The parkland setting, through an evergreen forest, is
complemented by the course’s circular layout which brings the prevailing
wind into place at almost every conceivable angle.
The course is characterized by a winding brook that has been dammed to
create two outstanding par 3 holes - one of which is the signature #2 hole.
The par 5, #7 hole, is a winding, dipping adventure, rated as one of the most
difficult holes in Canada.
Don’t let the 6284 yards from the back tees fool you. With the narrow landing
areas, mounded bunkers, small greens and prevailing winds, Digby Pines plays
much longer. The two additional tee locations on each hole allow for friendlier
play for those who don’t hit the ball far.

The Links at Penn Hills
The Links at Penn Hills takes advantage of the spectacular vistas of this beautiful
property. The tidal Shubenacadie River provides an ever changing backdrop for
golfers to enjoy. There is a nice mix of holes on the lowland dyke area, the rolling
meadows and a series of holes in the wooded area. The Clubhouse sits high on

River Oaks Golf Club
The picturesque River Oaks course is the realization of Merlin Kerr’s dream
to construct a course compatible with the environment and to provide a
facility in keeping with the peacefulness and serenity of the Musquodoboit
Valley. River Oaks is a 27-hole full service facility for the green fee player, with
accommodations and golf packages available on site. The 18-hole course layout
features balanced front and back nines, including two par 3’s, six par 4’s and
one par 5. River Oaks South is located across from the 18-hole course with a
regulation 9-hole layout. The rolling hills and scenic terrain provide a challenge
to any golfer. The South course plays as a par 36, ranging from 2,543 yards
(front tees) to 3,113 yards (back tees), giving the players a variety to play 18

“Witch’s Ridge” is set to open this season. Changes to the course that winds
through 80 acres offering fabulous vistas, include new greens, wider fairways, new

The beautiful Bell Bay Golf Club located in the quaint village of Baddeck, Nova Scotia, was awarded “Best New Course
in Canada” by Golf Digest 1998 and ranked in the top 55 Best Course in Canada by ScoreGolf Magazine. Bell Bay sits
high above Cape Breton’s inland sea, the Bras d’Or Lakes, offering panoramic views from virtually every hole.
Bell Bay is an experienced site for high profile events such as: The RCGA’s Canadian Amateur Championship in 2005;
the RCGA’s Canadian Club Champions Championship in 2000 & 2006; and the 2001 Wayne Gretzky and Friends
Invitational featuring Mike Weir vs. Brett Hull and Joe Sakic and Wayne Gretzky.
The routing of the course takes full advantage of the natural features of the land and each hole has a distinctive
element that makes it both unique and memorable.
Bell Bay is distinguished by its final 4 holes, which have been called one of the best finishing sequences anywhere.
A strong candidate for the signature hole is the seventeenth par 3, “Banshee.” The drastic elevation changes, ravine
and a green that is set in a pocket of trees on the other side offer an illusion to the golfer’s normal distance perception
and it is easy to underhit the shot. The true signature hole though is saved for last. “Breadalbane” is one of the most
scenic tee shots in golf. A sweeping panorama of the Bras d’Or Lakes and Alexander Graham Bell’s summer estate
can take ones attention away from this par 5 finishing hole. Starting with a tee shot over a great gorge, the hole winds
its way to the clubhouse silhouetted by the Highlands in the background.
Overall playability is enhanced by bent grass greens, tees and fairways, exceptionally manicured. There are four
distinct teeing areas, positioned to assure both challenge and enjoyment for players of all skill levels. A member of
