<strong>Charlotte</strong>’s turbine interchange was named the top road project in the October 2012 issue <strong>of</strong><br />
“Roads and Bridges” magazine. Rather than build the proposed four-level stack interchange, the<br />
turbine will take less right-<strong>of</strong>-way, feature smaller bridges, and will be easier to maintain. Savings<br />
estimate $50 million.
