GMG’s Introduction – September 2012 Edition The highly anticipated PDF has finally arrived – welcome to Volume 3.0! What better way to kick it off by including work from 28 well respected members of the DobberHockey community for a combined tally of 35-plus articles. This is by far the biggest collaboration to be featured in the Roto PDF Exclusive. Bottom line, if there is to be a lockout, might as well go out in style. As noted in the updated roto legend and Top 100 disclaimer, the goal of this list is to push poolies to realize the current Trade Value (TV) and Potential Roto Value (PRV) of the Top Roto Keepers in leagues that feature your standard six categories (goals, assists, power play points, plus/minus, shots on goal, penalty minutes) as well as the extended categories of hits and blocked shots. To accomplish that goal, the following changes have been made to the Top 100: Removed: colored tiers under roto focus, current roto score and potential roto score tabs (CRS / PRS). Added: numbered system under roto focus, trade value and potential roto value grading tabs (TV / PRV). Updated: legend and disclaimer / additional information. Second month column & the Black Aces’ page. Also added are two additional Top 25 combo ranks (this month: G/SOG and Hits/Blocked Shots) along with player breakdowns for highlighted performers and do not forget to check out the closing remarks. Big congratulations to the newest batch of graduates from the Black Aces program. Joining the DobberHockey crew for the 2012-13 season are Eric Daoust (Capped), Mac Vincent (Frozen Forensics) and Brandon Landry (IR report). All the while, Michael Amato slides into his new Wild West role, Russ Miller returns to his Eastern Edge roots, and Brad Wilson begins his journey as the new Dobber Nation podcast host. With that news, Ryan Ma will be returning to his bi-weekly Maaaasquito Bites feature and we wish the best to Tim Lucarelli, our first forum graduate, in his future hockey writing endeavours.
