The Union CC LIFE Center offers college-level
classes to senior citizens, free of charge, at venues throughout the County. During
2010, 28 free classes were provided in eight towns. New offerings for
2010 included “Women Authors” and “Introduction to Shakespeare”—both offered
at a Summit school. To support the LIFE Center, the Plainfield Foundation
donated $10,000 in 2010, which doubles its previous contribution. Shown
