2007 SEASON (SOPHOMORE)<br />
Named the 2007 BIG EAST Player of the Year after a stellar sophomore<br />
season...also selected to the All-BIG EAST First Team and the<br />
NFCA All-Region Second Team...started 42 games this season for<br />
<strong>UConn</strong> in centerfield…led the team with 11 home runs, a <strong>UConn</strong> singleseason<br />
home run record…ranks second in all-time home runs with<br />
18 after only two seasons...third on the team in batting average at<br />
.338…led the team in runs (33) and had 46 hits on 136 at-bats…first<br />
on the team in stolen bases with five…posted a slugging percentage<br />
of .618…was 2-for-4 scoring three runs with two RBI in the win over<br />
No. 21 California (3/9)...went 3-for-4 with two home runs in game<br />
one against Rutgers (4/22) before hitting her third home run of the<br />
day in the second game of the doubleheader…collected 18 total bases<br />
in doubleheaders against Villanova and Rutgers...was 6-for-8 in the<br />
doubleheader against Louisville (4/27)…registered three RBI in each<br />
game with Syracuse (3/25 & 3/26)…homered four times in five games<br />
against Pittsburgh, Syracuse and St. John’s...solid defensively with 61<br />
putouts in 2007…named BIG EAST Player of the Week for the week<br />
ending April 22 after posting a .426 batting average and 1.200 slugging<br />
percentage against BIG EAST opponents.<br />
2006 SEASON (FRESHMAN)<br />
Led the team in six batting categories including runs scored (39), home<br />
runs (7), stolen bases (8), at bats (154), walks (18) and total bases<br />
(76)…second on the team in hits (49)...third on the team in batting average<br />
(.318), RBI (23), slugging percentage (.494) and on base percentage<br />
(.397)...started all 48 games as a true freshman…recorded 49 hits with<br />
a .318 batting average…tallied 23 RBI…had a dominating performance<br />
in first collegiate game with three hits, two being home runs and five<br />
RBI…went 2-3 with a double against Florida State (3/7)…recorded a double<br />
against Florida A&M (3/8)……went 3-4 including a home run and two RBI<br />
and added a stolen base against Villanova (3/26)…was 3-4 with a stolen<br />
base against Quinnipiac (4/5)…went 2-3 against Hofstra (4/11)…tallied<br />
three hits with a double and a home run for two RBI against Seton Hall<br />
(4/22)…in game two against St. John's (4/22) had three RBI and a home<br />
run…was 3-4 against Pittsburgh (4/30).<br />
HIGH SCHOOL<br />
Five-time letterwinner at South Glens Falls...named team Most Valuable<br />
Player her senior season...New York State Player of the Year...Post<br />
Star Player of the Year and Saratogian Player of the Year and Times<br />
Union Player of the Year as a senior...team was 2002 New York State<br />
Champions and 2005 New York State finalists...Foothills MVP her junior<br />
and senior seasons....Aileen Durant Second 2 Umpires Sportsmanship<br />
Award...also earned four letters in basketball and five in soccer...team<br />
captain in both sports her senior season...member of National Honor<br />
Society and the Spanish Honor Society... Varsity Club member.<br />
