highest level of anger on <strong>the</strong> anger meter during <strong>the</strong> upcoming week. Ask <strong>the</strong>m to identify <strong>the</strong><br />
event that made <strong>the</strong>m angry, <strong>the</strong> cues that were associated with <strong>the</strong> anger-provoking event,<br />
and <strong>the</strong> strategies that <strong>the</strong>y used to manage <strong>the</strong>ir anger in response to <strong>the</strong> event. Ask <strong>the</strong>m to<br />
practice <strong>the</strong> deep-breathing exercise, preferably once a day during <strong>the</strong> upcoming week, and<br />
develop a preliminary version of <strong>the</strong>ir anger control plans. Inform group members that <strong>the</strong>y<br />
should be prepared to report on <strong>the</strong>se assignments during <strong>the</strong> Check-In Procedure at <strong>the</strong> next<br />
week’s session.<br />
