About the University
The University of Rajasthan was established in 1947 as a multi-faculty
University. HE the President of India is the Visitor and HE the Governor of
Rajasthan is the Chancellor of this University The University offers UG, PG,
M.Phil. and Ph.D. programmes in various disciplines at 38 PG Departments,
18 Study Centres and 6 Constituent Colleges besides 900 affiliated Colleges.
The University also offers several Certificate and Diploma Courses. This
University accredited A+ by NAAC (2004-2009). The University provides
state-of-art research facilities support and through UGC-SAP,DST-FIST
PURSE programmes, research projects funded by UGC, CSIR, DST, DRDO,
DBT, BRNS, other agencies and various international collaborations. The
University has one of the biggest libraries in India and world class sport
facilities.
About the Department
The Department of Mathematics, University of Rajasthan established in the
year 1960, offers P.G., M.Phil. and Ph.D. Degree programmes. The
Department is enriched with a very good NBHM library and well equipped
Computer Laboratory set up under FIST program and UGC DRS-I(SAP).The
Department has active research programmes in Pure and Applied
Mathematics.
About the Workshop
Fluid Dynamics and optimization techniques have enjoyed huge success with
spectacular advancement in dealing with engineering and industrial
applications. Fluid Dynamics under went a rapid development during the past
two centuries, and now it includes other branches also such as, Aerodynamics,
Computational Fluid Dynamics, Magnetohydrodynamics, Heat transfer, flow
through porous media and bio-mechanics
The workshop is aimed for imparting training to young research scholars,
scientists and teachers of applied mathematics with techniques that are useful
and effective in various branches of Fluid Dynamics and Operations Research.
Note (i) Seats are limited and registration will be made by first-come-first
serve basis.
(ii) Apply only those who are interested in the subject of the workshop.
Registration Fees
Rs.250/- for Research Scholars
Rs.500/- for Teachers/Scientists
Registration fee must be paid through DD in favour of Coordinator, UGC
DRS (SAP) payable at Jaipur or by cash.

Travel Expenses
Owing to the paucity of funds, participants will have to meet their travel
expenses. However, if funds become available, limited financial assistance
towards actual railway/bus fare as per rules may be provided.
Accommodation
The outstation participants would be provided boarding and lodging by the
host institution subject to prior information to Convener/
Organizing Secretary upto 05.03.2011 (Saturday).
