DAY 1 SINGAPORE – (VIA KUNMING) XI’AN (LUNCH/DINNER)<br />
Stay at comparable to local 4-star Xi’an Orient Hotel or similar<br />
Assemble at Singapore <strong>Chan</strong>gi Airport for your flight to Xi’an (via Kunming),formerly known as <strong>Chan</strong>g An City during ancient<br />
times. Upon arrival, we will visit The Qin Terracotta Museum. This is a major discovery of China’s archaeological history as well<br />
as one of the World’s wonders. There are thousands pieces of the terracotta warriors and horses unearthed and they are of the<br />
same size as a real person or a real horse.<br />
DAY 2 XI’AN – XINING – QINGHAI LAKE (160km) – XINING (BREAKFAST/LUNCH/DINNER)<br />
Stay at comparable local 4-star Qinghai Holiday Dynasty Hotel or similar<br />
After breakfast, we will take a domestic flight to Xining. Xining is a highland ancient city with more than 2100 years of history and<br />
was formerly known as the “south railway for the Silk Road”. It’s also an important hub for trains entering <strong>Tibet</strong>. Thereafter, we will<br />
be travelling along the ancient route into <strong>Tibet</strong> which was used by Princess Wencheng of the Tang Dynasty. Along the way you<br />
can view <strong>Mt</strong> Moon and Sun, the Sun Pavilion and the Moon Pavilion. Thereafter, we will travel to Qinghai Lake which is the<br />
largest saltwater lake in China with an area of 4500 square kilometers. We will take a boat ride on the lake, which is surrounded<br />
by snowcapped mountains and lush greenery. Qinghai Lake’s emerald green water completes the picturesque scenery.<br />
Note: 1. Boat ride at Qinghai Lake is not available from November till April due to drastic weather condition.<br />
DAY 3 XINING – QINGHAI TIBET RAILWAY (BREAKFAST/LUNCH)<br />
Train: 6 bed hard sleeper<br />
After breakfast, we will rest in the hotel room to adapt to the highland climate. Thereafter, we will meet up and proceed to the<br />
Xining train station. You will be travelling by train on the Qinghai <strong>Tibet</strong> Railway-highest altitude in the world, towards <strong>Lhasa</strong>.<br />
DAY 4 QINGHAI TIBET RAILWAY – LHASA – NIGHT ARRIVALS IN LHASA<br />
Stay at comparable to local 5-star <strong>Lhasa</strong> Hotel or similar<br />
It will be a whole day train journey heading towards <strong>Lhasa</strong> on the Qinghai <strong>Tibet</strong> Railway which is the world’s highest railway,<br />
passing through Xining, Ge’ermu, Tuotuo River, Anduo, Naqu, Dangxiong and finally <strong>Lhasa</strong>. All meals on board the train will be<br />
at own expense. Upon arrival in <strong>Lhasa</strong>, we will require ample rest in order to acclimatize to the high altitude. <strong>Lhasa</strong> is an ancient<br />
city with 1300 years of history; it is also the hub of <strong>Tibet</strong>an Politics, Economy, Culture and Religion. Special: Meet on arrival with<br />

DAY 5 LHASA – POTALA PALACE – JOKHANG TEMPLE – BARKHOR STREET (BREAKFAST/LUNCH/DINNER)<br />

This morning we will visit the landmark of <strong>Lhasa</strong> – the Potala Palace. Potala in Sanskrit<br />
means sacred place of the Goddess of Mercy. It is an ancient palace with castle-style<br />
architectures and the highest altitude. We will be viewing the Winter Palace within the<br />
Potala Palace. It is also the <strong>Tibet</strong>an Political Centre and residence for previous Dalai<br />
Lamas since the seventh century AD. We will visit the ancient Jokhang Temple, which<br />
is the sacred place in the eye of all <strong>Tibet</strong>an Buddhist. Thereafter, we visit the most<br />
bustling handicraft market of <strong>Lhasa</strong> - the Barkhor Street, for some exotic handicraft<br />
souvenirs. This evening we will savour the special highland mushroom steamboat<br />
cuisine for dinner.<br />

DAY 6 LHASA – YAMDROKTSO LAKE – GYANTSE – SHIGATSE (BREAKFAST/LUNCH/DINNER)<br />
Stay at comparable to local 4-star Shigatse Jiumu Yamei Int’l Hotel or similar<br />
Today we will set off from <strong>Lhasa</strong>, climbing over the Kambala Snow Mountain with an<br />
altitude of 4900 meters to visit the Yamdroktso Lake – the world’s highest altitude<br />
fresh water lake, also known as the sacred lake in the sky. Thereafter, along the way<br />
we will see a majestic roadside view of the Nojin Kangtsang Glacier and Gyantse<br />
that is surrounding the Yamdroktso Lake. It is also the outdoor filming scene of the<br />
“Valley of the Red River”. Next, we will visit the Palkor Monastery, which consists of<br />
the 3 major <strong>Tibet</strong>an religion groups in one monastery. It is also well known for its<br />
exquisite murals and carvings. We may also see the Zongshan anti-British Ruins from<br />
afar before we proceed to Shigatse.<br />
Day 7 SHIGATSE – TASHILUNPO MONASTERY – MT EVEREST VIEWING PLATFORM – ZHANGMU<br />
(BREAKFAST/LUNCH/DINNER) Stay at comparable to local 2 star Zhangmu Hotel or similar<br />
Today we will visit the Tashilunpo Monastery, where Panchen Lama lays in peace and is also one of the 6 major monasteries<br />
for <strong>Tibet</strong>an Yellow Sect. This monastery was built by the first Panchen Lama in 1447 and thereafter became the residence of all<br />
the subsequent Panchen Lama. There is a world tallest Mi’le Buddha statue, which is 28 meters tall, in the monastery. We will<br />
also see the Stupa-tomb of the Tenth Panchen Lama here. Thereafter, we will coach to <strong>Mt</strong> Jiacuola which has an altitude of<br />
5200 meters heading towards Zhangmu. Along the way, we will view the world’s highest mountain-<strong>Mt</strong> <strong>Everest</strong> which is 8848<br />
meters high, from the <strong>Mt</strong> <strong>Everest</strong> Viewing Platform (subject to weather condition). We will cruise along the Himalayan Mountains<br />
while enjoying the snow scenery of the highlands. You will also see lots of <strong>Tibet</strong>an streamers and <strong>Tibet</strong>an Mani Piles along the<br />
way. From <strong>Mt</strong> Lalongla, you may view the beauty of Xixiabangma peak, the only summit within the China border that has<br />
altitude above 8000 meters. Next, we will be travelling on the China-<strong>Nepal</strong> highway towards the border town – Zhangmu, which<br />
has an altitude of 2400 meters. You would then witness a change of the vegetation and landscape. Our next stop will be <strong>Nepal</strong>,<br />
well known as the Country of high mountains and a tourist paradise.<br />
Day 8 ZHANGMU – CHINA-NEPAL BORDER BRIDGE - KATHMANDU (BREAKFAST/LUNCH/DINNER)<br />
Stay at comparable to local 5-star Le Meridien Kathmandu Gokarna Forest Golf Resort or similar<br />
This morning, we will leave China through the China-<strong>Nepal</strong> Border Bridge at Zhangmu and thereafter will coach to the Capital<br />
city of <strong>Nepal</strong> – Kathmandu. Kathmandu is a valley at the central of <strong>Nepal</strong> which consists of old and new architectural buildings.<br />
We will be cruising along the South slope of the Himalayas towards Kathmandu, and will enjoy the soothing scenery of<br />
farmhouses, terrace farms and nature. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, we will explore the Bhaktapur Ancient City; this is also the<br />
lowest point of Kathmandu city with its architecture constructed in the 17 th Century.<br />
Day 9 KATHMANDU – POKHARA (BREAKFAST/LUNCH/DINNER)<br />

After breakfast, we will take a ride to Pokhara which is known as the Switzerland of Asia. You may enjoy the view of the<br />
Himalayas peaks and the unique villages. Pokhara is well known for its beautiful scenery and excellent climate; it has an altitude<br />
of 827 meters only. Pokhara is surrounded by mountains like <strong>Mt</strong> Annapurna which is covered with snow all year round. The<br />
beautiful Machhapuchhre Himal or Fishtail Peak will be reflected on Fewa Lake which is beneath the mountains range. By the<br />
lakeside, you will also get to see unique restaurants and pubs with popular music. The scenery here resembles paradise with its<br />
snowy White Mountains, charming scenery and blossoming flowers everywhere.<br />
Day 10 POKHARA (BREAKFAST/LUNCH/DINNER)<br />

Early in the morning, we will take a ride to Sarangkot to watch the sunrise. The sunlight will slowly fill the whole of<br />
Machhapuchhre Himal with a bright golden hue that is sure to sooth the mind. Thereafter, we will visit the Hindu Temple, the<br />
Great Valley, the Devi’s fall and Fewa Lake. You may also enjoy boating at the Fewa Lake at your own expense, take a stroll<br />
along the lakeside or even rent a jeep or motorcar to roam into the local villages to experience the lifestyles in <strong>Nepal</strong>. You can<br />
also do some hiking, trekking in the mountains, shopping or clubbing. It is a good time to calm tired minds in this countryside.<br />

Day 11 POKHARA – KATHMANDU (BREAKFAST/LUNCH/DINNER)<br />
Stay at comparable to local 5-star Le Meridien Kathmandu Gokarna Forest Golf Resort or similar<br />
This morning we will take a coach ride back to Kathmandu while enjoying the terrace farm scenery along the way. We will also get<br />
to appreciate ancient architectures such as Palaces and Temples. We will also experience the vibrant national cultures and<br />
unique handicraft of the South Himalayans. Next, we will visit the world’s largest stupa – the Boudhanath Stupa and thereafter<br />
visit the Dubar Square, the Kumari Bahal and the Kasthamandap. Lastly, we will have our dinner at a unique <strong>Nepal</strong>ese<br />
restaurant taste unique local cuisines. You will also enjoy the songs and dance performances of the South Himalayans.<br />
Day <strong>12</strong> KATHMANDU – KUNMING – SINGAPORE (BREAKFAST)<br />
This morning we may have some leisure time to do some shopping at the Thamel Shopping District before we depart for our<br />
flight to Kunming and then back to Singapore.<br />

entry point under normal circumstances. The visa fee is US$25 – US$30 per person and requires 2 colour photographs. China passport<br />
holder will need to apply for <strong>Nepal</strong> visa in Singapore before departure.<br />
6. Other nationality passengers who are joining the CN<strong>12</strong>TN tour (either travel by Air China or China Eastern Airline) will need to apply for<br />
double entry China visa.<br />
7. Tipping guideline as follow: CN<strong>12</strong>TN – RMB25/day/passenger, however, <strong>Nepal</strong> sector US$8/day/passenger<br />
