Again he measured one thousand, and it was a river that I could not cross; for
the water was too deep, water in which one must swim, a river that could not be
crossed. Ezekiel 47:5 (NKJV)
The activity of the Spirit of God in scripture is often likened to a river, the wind and oil- there is a
flow involved.
If we agree with the Word of God and are teachable in spirit, we can be led and shepherded like
sheep. In that place we flow with God; with that attitude we are taken deeper in our relationship
with Him.
- When we are disagreeable in spirit, pushing back, we are likened to a goat who is unteachable and
hard to lead. In this place Jesus may be Saviour, but with this attitude it is hard to call Him Lord.
Ezekiel 47:3-5
The prophet is saying here that it is going to get deeper. If you abandon yourself to the Holy Spirit,
He will overwhelm you and be able to take you higher and deeper.
- We need to immerse ourselves in God’s presence. We need to take the time to soak in God’s
presence over a period of sometimes days, to be filled, overwhelmed and changed. Presence
Conference will provide a great opportunity for you to do this.
But the path of the just is like the shining sun, that shines ever brighter unto the perfect day.

- God’s ultimate design is that your life winds upward, this gets activated by the Holy Spirit in you.

But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed
into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord. 2 Cor 3:18 (NKJV)
- Be transformed from glory to glory. We should all as Christians be able to see how we have
changed and identify transformations. He works on the inside of us and by the Spirit of God we
move with Him, becoming more like Him.
As we move towards Presence we prepare for a supernatural visitation by God. God is preparing a
table for us. There is an increase available for us in the Spirit. Our hearts must be towards Him,
towards His house. Ideas, concepts, clarity and breakthroughs come when you dwell in His house,

love His presence and eat at His table.
- “Instead of bronze I will bring gold, Instead of iron I will bring silver, Instead of wood, bronze, And
instead of stones, iron. I will also make your officers peace, And your magistrates righteousness.
Isaiah 60:17 (NKJV)
- May the Lord give you increase more and more, You and your children. Psalm 115:14 (NKJV)
- A single day in your courts is better than a thousand anywhere else! I would rather be a gatekeeper
in the house of my God than live the good life in the homes of the wicked. Ps 84:10 (NLT)
Isaiah 40:28-31
- Life in the Spirit is a fight which takes energy. Daily we resist, we embrace, we confront, we believe.
- We can only replenish this spiritual energy in a spiritual way. We wait upon the Lord. We get above
our circumstances, are strengthened, and soar with Jesus.
