riders to fall and be injured, only
After recent return to
Serie A, team is now
being investigated for
fraud
The city of Turin has two
football teams. One team,
Juventus, has won the national
Serie A championship so many
times that their victory has
become expected. The other
team, Torino, has for two years
now completely fallen out of
the Serie A championship and
has been playing in Serie B.
Just a couple of weeks
ago, the team celebrated their
much-awaited return to Serie
A and with it, a renewed competition
with their old city rivals
Juventus. In a tragic turn of
events, the team’s organisation
has now come under investigation
for fraud. The in-debt team
may have illegally obtained a
loan for the statutory fee required
for entrance into Serie
A. If found guilty, the team will
remain in Serie B and Bologna
will take its place in the toplevel
championship.
