MSM CORNER Canada East ........ This year the CAND Heath Fusion conference and trade show will take place in Ottawa from June 7 to 9, and I am excited to be there representing Biomed. The theme of the conference is The Integrative Treatment of Chronic Inflammatory Conditions. Biomed remains a leader in Biological Medicine and I’m happy this theme provides a perfect opportunity to highlight treatment of chronic disease conditions with the Pleo Sanum and Rubimed remedy systems. Medical Support Manager, Canada West angela@biomedicine.com MSM CORNER Canada West I recently attended the CNDA AGM Conference (College of Naturopathic Doctors of Alberta) on May 4 & 5 in beautiful Banff, Alberta. What a great event! It was encouraging to see many practitioners interested in and using Pleo Sanum and Rubimed remedies, as well as many more wanting to learn more about these modalities. We featured the new member of our Biomed supplement line, Optimum B12F high dose sublingual lozenges. I also had the Reba ® test device and performed some Reba ® testing. I was pleased to see so many practitioners stopping by to get tested. Rubimed remedies, which are prescribed after Reba ® testing, are an excellent product line to help address and treat depression, anxiety, trauma, stress and emotional issues. Finally, I am thrilled and looking forward to Dr. Thomas Rau, M.D. from Paracelsus Klinik in Switzerland, coming to Vancouver to teach The Paracelsus Biological Medicine Certificate Programs. MSM CORNER U.S. Division ........ We had a great time during our six days of education during our Tempe, Arizona Biological Medicine Conference from Feb. 25th to March 2nd. This was followed by some fantastic conferences… • I flew to Dallas for the AAOT (American Academy of Ozone Therapy) and had so much fun touching base with many of our existing practitioners there and opening the door for them to be exposed to and tested for the Rubimed line of remedies. • Dr. Rob Milisen put on a Level I and II Suisse Neural Therapy hands-on seminars for those practitioners that wanted to be exposed to this European rooted route of application. In the Level II course he brought in actual patients to share their challenges, successes and allowed attendees to see and perform crucial injections that have helped them along their treatment path. • AzNMA (Arizona Naturopathic Medical Association) had another stellar event that always helps us touch base with so many loyal docs that come back to Arizona once or twice a year to support their organization and listen to perfectly hand-picked speakers. • Then I attended our first FMM (Functional Medicine Meeting) event and was almost trampled at our exhibit booth during the first break! It was great to experience that kind of excitement over the remedies from the outside in… usually it is me gushing to anyone who will listen about the remedies! • I now get a brief break as we prepare for the AHIMA (Arizona Homeopathic & Integrative Medical Association) seminar and an awards dinner honoring Dr. William Rea, MD, MD(H) with a special recognition from the Office of the Governor of Arizona for his work as an Environmental Medicine Specialist. • We will then officially start summer with our own Rubimed Level II seminar on Sat. & Sun., June 15 & 16 in Arizona. I look forward to progressing my knowledge in Rubimed training/testing and again look forward to touching base with likeminded practitioners that dedicate themselves to constant education for the sake of their patients. The FMM group began in Arizona in 2008 and this year has expanded to Portland, Oregon. The goal of these meetings is to bring together healthcare practitioners of varying disciplines to share information and to provide attendees with the most cutting edge alternative medicine research and clinical pearls available today. Meetings will be held three times a year, attracting some of the most cutting edge researchers and practitioners in our industry. We had an incredible turn out with over 90 doctors listening to Dr. James Wilson present on hypothyroidism. I had a wonderful time with many local practitioners that I had yet to meet as well as re-connecting with doctors that I have been working with. This June, we are hosting the second FMM event here in Portland and I’m positive that the turnout will be even greater. The word has already begun to spread around town over what a fantastic event this is and with Dr. Michael Gerber presenting in June, I am sure the buzz will get even louder.
