By Our Staff Reporter The overgrowth of bushes in the sewage canal flowing via CIT Nagar (Nandanam) has lead to water stagnation. The free flow of water has been further hampered as the width of the canal was reduced by dumping sand on both its sides to park machines used in removing sewage blocks at the mouth of the canal and to facilitate the concrete work in covering the canal. Nearby residents told Mambalam Times that the stagnated water in the canal has become a major breeding Subway work under Rangarajapuram railway bridge suspended By Our Staff Reporter The construction of a subway under the railway bridge on Rangarajapuram Main Road (Kodambakkam), which was started last year, has come to a standstill. The subway when constructed will link Mambalam High Road (T. Nagar) and Rangarajapuram Main Road (Kodambakkam). No progress has been made in the last 6 months. A deep trench dug during the construction period is filled with rain water. There is no sign board warning the road users. People are often seen crossing the railway track dangerously.
