<strong>Life</strong> <strong>Cycle</strong> <strong>Engineering</strong> (LCE), a leader in providing solutions-based information technology services to the<br />

Department of Defense (DoD), is currently seeking highly experienced <strong>Developer</strong>s with knowledge of Java<br />

EE/J2EE, VMWare, Windows Server 2003, Linux, Mongrel Web Server, Rails, Ruby Gems, Ruby, and MySQL.<br />

Successful candidates will be actively involved in:<br />

• Developing custom components and data interfaces, and integrating portal frameworks with existing<br />

architectures, platforms, front-end, back-end and legacy applications<br />

• Working with customers to design new or modified portal content according to program requirements<br />

• Create level of effort (LOE) and duration estimates for development increments/spirals and tasking<br />

Bring your knowledge and enthusiasm for complex system development and play a critical role in developing<br />

tomorrow’s DoD information systems strategies. LCE is looking for self-starters who meet the following<br />

criteria:<br />

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related major, or six plus years working with information<br />

systems<br />

• Two plus years of development experience using Portal technologies like JBoss Enterprise Portal<br />

Platform, Weblogic Portal Server, and Websphere Portal Server<br />

• Working knowledge of VMWare Virtual Infrastructure 3, PKI, Windows Server 2003, Linux, Apache,<br />

Mongrel Web Server, Rails, Ruby Gems, Ruby, MySQL<br />

• Working knowledge of Service Oriented Architectures (SOA) and web services<br />

• U.S. DoD “Secret” security clearance or the ability to obtain one by way of background check<br />

Candidates with the following qualifications will be given additional consideration:<br />

• Four - five years experience in programming in Portlets, Java, JSP, EJB, servlets, C/C++, XML, Shellscripting,<br />

Tuxedo, Websphere/Weblogic, SQL, and Oracle<br />

• Background in federation and identity management technologies such as SAML/LDAP;<br />

• In-depth knowledge of DoD IA Directives: DoDD 8500.1; DoDI 8500.2; DoDD/I 8530.1/.2; CJCSI/M<br />

6510.1; the NSA/IATF; CC Protection Profiles (PP) for TCSEC Level “C2” Controlled Access<br />

• Knowledge of DoD/military command structure to include all branches of the Armed Services<br />

Ideal candidates will be expected to support multiple DoD programs which currently include the Net-Enabled<br />

Command Capability (NECC), Net-Centric Enterprise Services (NCES), Consolidated Afloat Network and<br />

Enterprise Services (CANES), Joint Service Explosive Ordnance Disposal (JEOD), Joint Counter Radio-<br />

Controlled IED Electronic Warfare (JCREW), DoD Explosives Safety Board (DDESB), and the Global<br />

Information Grid (GIG) Federated Development and Certification Environment (FDCE).<br />
