Felix Jones in action
Felix Jones (2005) returned to action for Munster for the first time this year, in the
RaboDirect PRO12 game against Treviso in Stadio di Monigo on 18th February coming
on as a 60th minute replacement. He celebrated his first start of the season a week
later by scoring a try in the game against Newport Gwent Dragons and featured again
from the start against Aironi in Viadana.
On his return from Italy he joined up with the Irish squad as they prepared for the final
RBS Six Nations game. Great to see him back!

St Andrew’s continues to produce
Irish Internationals in various
sporting disciplines. Stuart
Loughrey (2009) played recently
for the Irish Senior Men's Hockey
Team in their bid to qualify for the
2012 Olympics. They were
heartbreakingly close to gaining a
place only to be beaten in the final
match in the final seconds.
In Ladies Hockey, Chloe Watkins
(2010) was with the Senior Ladies
team in Belgium in their bid to
qualify for the 2012 Olympics. Sadly
they were b e a t e n b y
Belgium in the final match
o f t h e tournament.
We wish Nicky Doyle (nee
Hughes) from the class of 2003,
well in her endeavours to raise funds
for the Irish Cancer Society and in
particular with her own fight against
breast cancer. Nicky was recently
diagnosed but she is adamant she’s
not going to let it get the better of
her and wants to help raise
awareness of the disease. To this
end she has organised a charity Fun
Run for Thursday 5th April 2012 -

Congratulations to Adele Cooper
(1989) who was recently appointed
Director of Global Business
Partnerships in Facebook, based in
London. Previous to that she spent
2 years in the Palo Alto Facebook
office running all outbound
marketing and communications.
She credits St Andrew’s for setting
her on the road to what was to be a
global career when one of her
teachers mentioned applying to
colleges in the US as an option.
According to Jeremy Tucker “this
photo is of the best rugby team to
come out of the school in 50 years!
We got to the quarter final of the
Senior Cup in 1988 and were beaten
by the eventual winners Clongowes.
We beat Terenure in the first round
in 1989. Great times.”
