exclusively laid out or expended, or any liability not being a<br />
liability wholly or exclusively incurred, for the purpose of those<br />
operations;<br />
(b) any capital withdrawn or any sum employed or intended to<br />
be employed as capital;<br />
(c) any capital employed in improvements as distinct from<br />
repairs;<br />
(d) any sum recoverable under an insurance or contract of<br />
indemnity;<br />
(e) rent of or cost of repairs to any premises or part of premises<br />
not incurred for the purpose of those operations;<br />
(f) any amounts incurred in respect of any income tax, profits tax<br />
or other similar tax whether charged within Nigeria or<br />
elsewhere;<br />

(g) the depreciation of any premises, buildings, structures, works<br />
of a permanent nature, plant, machinery or fixtures;<br />
(h) any payment to any provident, savings, widows' and orphans'<br />
or other society, scheme or fund, except such payments as are<br />
allowed under subsection (1) (f) of section 10 of this Act;<br />
