Forest Cemetery 47<br />
Established <strong>in</strong> 1852 <strong>in</strong> the “<strong>for</strong>est” north<br />
of Circleville, this scenic cemetery offers<br />
numerous walk<strong>in</strong>g trails, which mark the f<strong>in</strong>al<br />
rest<strong>in</strong>g place <strong>for</strong> decorated veterans and<br />
<strong>in</strong>terest<strong>in</strong>g people such as Jazz Legend Ted<br />
Lewis and “Miss Ellen” Dalton, who worked<br />
<strong>in</strong> the White House with Abraham L<strong>in</strong>coln. The Soldier at Parade Rest<br />
monument by the entrance is the likeness of John Groce, a local war hero.<br />

Calamus Swamp 3<br />
This beautiful, diverse and rare wetland was<br />
dedicated as a Columbus Audubon Preserve<br />
on June 3, 2000. Calamus’ 19-acres<br />
offer a unique glimpse <strong>in</strong>to the glacial past<br />
that shaped Ohio’s landscape. It is home<br />
to several dist<strong>in</strong>ct plant communities and<br />
numerous breed<strong>in</strong>g birds and is an appeal<strong>in</strong>g<br />
rest<strong>in</strong>g spot <strong>for</strong> birds migrat<strong>in</strong>g through the Scioto River corridor.<br />

Circleville Raceway Park<br />
This state-of-the-art asphalt course is one of<br />
the premiere facilities <strong>in</strong> Ohio and features<br />
