STUDENT PERSPECTIVES
• The best resources Moravian Academy has to offer are the teachers because
they are truly passionate about their particular subjects and care about their
students. Without the guidance of my physics teacher – making physics class
super interesting with great demos and mentoring me with my independent
study research project – I would have never considered pursuing a major in
engineering.
Debbie Chi – Duke University, Class of 2014
• I like that I could pursue all of my interests at one awesome school.
Moravian Academy is the only place that I think I could have wrestled and
played guitar and handbells while taking really challenging courses that
prepared me very well for a program in engineering.
Greg Chrin – Stevens Institute of Technology, Class of 2014

STUDENT PERSPECTIVES
• Between sports, practicing and performing with my band, and of course a
challenging workload, I had a lot on my plate during my years at Moravian.
Fortunately for me Moravian not only nurtured my academic and
extracurricular interests, but encouraged me to pursue new ones and always
do so to the best of my abilities.
Ben Shelly – Bucknell University, Class of 2014
• The MA Upper School science department was the driving force behind my
ambition to become a doctor. Without the support and guidance of my
science teachers from every discipline, from biology to chemistry to physics,
I never would have decided to pursue science and medicine. Also, it was the
in-depth lectures and small laboratory class sizes of every single course that
made all the difference. I am grateful to be entering college with a strong
background in the sciences thanks to my MA experience.
Vicki Zhou – University of Rochester, Class of 2014

STUDENT PERSPECTIVES
• Transferring to Moravian for my last two years of high school was easily one of the
best decisions I have ever made. The dynamic yet intimate environment enabled me
to develop academically and personally by encouraging me to become involved in a
diverse array of subjects both in and out of the classroom. Although my initial reason
for transferring to MA was to increase my chances of gaining admission to my dream
college, I found so much more. I gained skills that will help me flourish at Emory
and I will embrace and use these abilities for a lifetime.
Jordan Angel – Emory University, Class of 2014
• During my four years at Moravian, I was transformed into a much better student.
Two of my most meaningful experiences were being a part of an exceptional sports
team and participating in two life-altering summer programs. There was something
about the Moravian community that pushed me to take advantage of everything I
could and in the process, I grew as an athlete, student, and human being.
Maggie Reilly – Georgetown University, Class of 2014
