The supplier must confirm adherence to this specification as part of the first article submission process.
11 Changes
HUHN must be notified punctually in writing by means of a change request in the event of changes involving:
� Product design and layout
� Manufacturing process
� Utilised materials
� Production location
� Changing sub-suppliers
Changes may not be implemented without written approval from HUHN.
After approval has been issued, changes must be qualified by the supplier. The FMEA, the QM plan
(inspection plan), the part life-cycle etc. must be correspondingly adapted.
First article submission must be completed before parts can be used. The scope of the first article submission
process must be coordinated with HUHN.
Notification indicating positive results of the first article submission process constitutes approval of the
change, and completes the change process.
The first shipment of changed parts must be announced in writing. The shipping documents and the
packaging must clearly indicate initial shipment of changed parts.
12 Shipments
All shipments must be made in accordance with applicable agreements and order releases.
Goods must be identified in a machine-readable fashion, such that traceability is assured.
Products with manufacturing dates which go back more than 12 months may not be shipped to HUHN. If
shipment of such products becomes necessary, the supplier must obtain special approval from HUHN. This
approval must be issued by HUHN in writing. The goods must be separately identified.
Other details shall be established as necessary in the event of approval.
Specially approved materials may not be mixed with other materials/shipments. They must always be shipped
unmixed, in separate containers and with appropriate identification. Any incurred costs may be invoiced to the
supplier.
13 Defective Parts
13.1 At the Supplier’s Facility
Parts which are identified as defective by the supplier, or which presumably do not fulfil the specified
requirements, must be identified immediately and stored such that further processing and shipment to HUHN
is precluded. Delivery of defective parts to HUHN must be prevented.
Measures must be immediately implemented by the supplier in order to inspect previously manufactured parts
and/or lots.
The cause of the defect must be analysed, and must be eliminated by means of suitable process
improvements (e.g. 8D processes).
