SUPPLY AND DELIVERY O F GATE VALVES AND O RIFICE AIR VALVES FO R
GREATER KANDY WATER SUPPLY PROJECT
CONTRACT No.: GR.KANDY/SUPPLY/PC-2/2012-50
1. The Chairman, Project Procurement Committee, Greater Kandy Water Supply
Project (NWSDB), Pahala Kondadeniya, Katugastota, Sri Lanka, now invites sealed
bids for the supply and Delivery of Gate valves and orifice air valves for Greater
Kandy Water Supply Project.
2. Bidding will be conducted through National Competitive Bidding Procedure.
3. To be eligible for contract award, the successful bidder,
1. Shall not have been blacklisted
2. Shall have valid business registration certification over five years
3. Accrediate Local agent for Sri Lanka of valve Manufacturer over 2 years period.
4. Interested Bidders for supply of Gate valves and orifice air valves may collect the
documents on the submission of a written application in letter head addressed to the
Project Director, Greater Kandy Water Supply Project (GKWSP), Pahala
Kondadeniya, Katugastota, Sri Lanka between 0930 hours to 1530 hours on normal
working days up to 3 rd September, 2012 Free of Charge.
5. Bids shall be delivered to the Project Director, GKWSP, NWSDB, Pahala
Kondadeniya, Katugastota on or before 14.00 hrs on 6 th September, 2012. Late bids
will be rejected. Bids will be opened soon after closing in the presence of the bidders’
representatives who choose to attend.
6. A bid Security for the value Rs 10,000/= valid until 6 th December, 2012 shall be
submitted with the bid.
7. Ex-stock supply or supplies within 30 days are preferred, Maximum delivery period is
90 days.
8. Two end user certificates are required to be submitted with the bid. Bids not
accompanied with end user certificates shall not be accepted.
9. Interested bidders may obtain further information from Chief Engineer (M&E),
GKWSP, NWS&DB, Pahala Kondadeniya, Katugastota (nwsdbgkp@sltnet.lk,
Tel. 081-2492287 and bidding documents may be inspected free of charge at Tender
Branch of Project Director’s Office from 0930hrs to 1530hrs on working days.

10. Alternative offers will not be accepted. Bidders may obtain bidding documents in
required number and may submit one or more independent offers. The independent
offers shall be in separate set of bidding documents together with separate bid
securities.
11. Sealed bids may be either dispatched by registered post or hand delivered to the
Greater Kandy Water Supply Project (GKWSP), Pahala Kondadeniya, Katugastota,
Sri Lanka to receive on or before the closing time.
