A Suite
Rajasthan brings to mind a land full of
colour, vibrance and cultural splendour.
Devi Ratn located in Jaipur has a
vocabulary of design that looks inwards at
this rich source for inspiration. Devi Ratn
takes its name from the “Nav Ratn”; nine
pure gemstones that are said to focus
cosmic energy. The lustrous gem-craft of
Jaipur, is reflected in the materials used
and the intricate quality of detail in public
and private spaces.
The sculptural astronomical devices
of Jantar Mantar, made in the early
eighteenth century, were the starting point
for the architects’ interpretation of modern
Rajasthan. The ancient observatories were
truly ahead of their times in accuracy,
scale and grandeur. Taking forward this
spirit, the all suite Devi Ratn boutique
hotel is a place that combines lyrical
spaces with bold architecture. Domes
and arches rise up on the horizon as
you approach, towering structures in
red sandstone filter the light of the sun
creating patterns on the ground.

accommodation
All the 63 suites at Devi Ratn are
celebrations of textures, patterns,
latticework and color. Planned along
crescent shaped streets at varying heights,
every suite is ensured a view of the
Aravali mountains. Vibrant gemstone hues,
unique black and white terrazzo flooring
and traditional bay windows for seating,
distinguish the spaces. Each suite while
equipped with modern amenities and
presenting a contemporary look, retains
the traditional elements of comfort and
service that make you feel at home.
The Villas are set in an enclosed courtyard,
each with a private pool and jacuzzi. The
1900 sq. ft. Villas are based on themes
of metal – copper, brass and silver. The
interiors are crafted with intricate inlay,
hammered metal surfaces and mirror-work.
Each villa has a deluxe suite above which
can be accessed separately. The bathrooms
have a black river stone finish with a white
marble sunken bath tub and a rain shower.
The Luxury suites are on the outermost
crescent and have a glorious view of the
sunrise on the hills. The rooms are 700 sq.
ft. each and open onto a private garden. A
necklace of intricate pattern follows you
around the room, along the walls, creating
surfaces for seating and furniture.
The Deluxe suites of 600 sq. ft. have
interiors done in shades of ruby red,
coral orange, emerald green and yellow
sapphire. Geometric adaptations transform
traditional paintings into a new form of
visual art that enlivens the space. Each
suite has an attached private garden on
the rooftop.
The 550 sq. ft. Executive suites are situated
in the middle crescent and retain a view
of the mountains. Discover a modern
interpretation of a painted toy box which
houses various amenities. It pivots and
slides open to reveal the mini bar and teacoffee
maker.

celebration
The Sila conference room is a white marble
cube within a courtyard, that exudes
a sense of calm tranquility. Material is
layered in a manner that retains a sense of
openness and transparency, making it a
venue that is inspiring for new ideas.
Below the conference hall is Adya, the
banquet room, in understated tones of
silvery grey. A crystal chandelier travels
the length of the room creating a
sparkling venue perfect for weddings
and conferences. For large numbers, the
outdoor banquet lawn is idyllic within a
lush sculptural landscape.
In the Chakra Bar the gentle movement
of lights creates a sense of the night-sky
where the cosmos seems to envelop you.
Enjoy the selection of wines and mouth
watering finger food, in this celestial
ambience. Step out on to the bar deck
and a mist fountain creates an ephemeral
mood; a feeling of being among swirling
clouds in the moonlight.
If you are looking for cuisine with subtle
flavours and unique Asian and Continental
recipes, you will find it served in the
shimmering silver and gold ambience
of the Vajra Restaurant. The chef rustles
up divine combinations from fresh
ingredients, organically farmed in our
kitchen gardens. Salads of Indian origin mix
with western herbs to create a whole new
palette of health foods. Alternately, there
is the poolside Jal Café, made in layers of
glass arches like a modern glass palace.
Special dining is also possible at various
rooftop venues or the Pavilion; the highest
vantage point on the property.

devi spa by l’occitane
The 20000 sq. ft. Devi Spa by L’Occitane
is a quiet and meditative place of
rejuvenation. Stress ebbs away and
contentment is enhanced. Based on the
architecture of an Indian step-well, the
pace of life slows as you descend into an
all white space where the sound of water
soothes you. Be pampered by a fusion of
Indian and Mediterranean well –being
treatments in an eco-friendly setting.
Local ingredients from Rajasthan will
be combined with natural L’Occitane
products to create exclusive treatments
that have been specially designed for Devi
Resorts. L’Occitane signature treatments,
like Immortelle Secret of Youth Facial,
Aromachologie Relaxing Massage and the
Almond Detoxifying Balance for body will
also be offered amongst others.
Emerge with all your senses awake to
experience life in a new way.
Unwind by the lotus patterned pool
with a cool jasmine sherbet or for some
undisturbed sunbathing, there is the roof
of the café. Enjoy activities like horse riding,
camel safaris, kite flying and astrology.
The Devi Design shop has an interesting
range of souvenirs. The selection presents
a unique exploration of Indian design in
metal, stone, wood and textile.
