The Kazenergy associaTion of oil-gas and energy was esTablished on 2<br />
november 2005 as an independenT, non-commercial union of legal enTi-<br />
Ties.<br />
since iTs esTablishmenT, The associaTion has been able To posiTion<br />
iTself as a significanT innovaTor of soluTions and sTeps direcTed Towards<br />
ensuring The indusTry’s sysTemaTic developmenT. iT has creaTed<br />
mechanisms of inTeracTion wiThin and beTween privaTe businesses and<br />
The sTaTe, and also aT The level of corporaTions.<br />
SigNifiCaNCE Of ThE aSSOCia-<br />
TiON fOr ThE iNDuSTry<br />
Today the KAZENERGY Association consists<br />
of over 40 of Kazakhstan’s largest oil-gas and<br />
energy companies.<br />
Among them are the most significant investors<br />
and extracting companies operating today<br />
within the country’s oil-gas, mineral and energy<br />
complex. The companies that belong to<br />
the Association are the basis of the economy<br />
of Kazakhstan.<br />
The Association’s member companies provide<br />
more than 60% (or 5.4 trillion tenge – more<br />
than $36.5 billion) of the Republic’s industry<br />
output, which totals 8.92 trillion tenge, as<br />
calculated at the end of last year. In 2006,<br />
enterprises led by the Association’s member<br />
companies formed approximately 52% of the<br />
total volume of the Republic’s industry output.<br />
In total, KAZENERGY member companies<br />
boast more than 100 thousand workers.<br />

achieved 61% of export revenue in 2009. In<br />
2006, KAZENERGY members provided 43.2%
