more than 800 participants from 15 countries of<br />
the world the fourth Eurasian forum KazENErgy<br />
access to energy supplies for all countries<br />
was one of the most important conditions for<br />
stability in eurasia.<br />
at the heart of the matter was the proper<br />
coordination of a balanced and mutually<br />
beneficial energy policy shared by countries<br />
of the region.<br />
eight plenary meetings and sessions were<br />
held in total. in just two days of the forum,<br />
discussion took place on issues of developing<br />
the electric energy industry and transporting<br />
energy resources, developing infrastructure<br />
projects, reclaiming the Kazakhstani sector of<br />
the caspian sea, and generating new perspectives<br />
on oil and gas chemistry and refining.<br />
in addition, ways of forming common and<br />
coherent policy options for interaction were<br />
addressed, and new financial instruments for<br />
investment were sought.<br />
among the fourth forum speakers were<br />
Karim massimov, the prime minister of<br />
Kazakhstan; nurlan balgymbayev, the<br />
president’s councillor of Kazakhstan; sauat<br />
mynbayev, the minister of energy and mineral<br />
resources; nurgali ashimov, the minister of<br />
environment protection; Timur Kulibayev,<br />
the chairman of the Kazenergy association;<br />
Kairgeldy Kabyldin, the president of the<br />
national company «Kazmunaigas» jsc, and<br />
others.<br />
among the foreign speakers were gerhard<br />
shroeder, the 33rd chancellor of germany<br />
and member of the board of directors of<br />
nord stream ag; randall gossen, the president<br />
of the world oil council; Traicho Traikov,<br />
bulgaria’s minister of economy, energy<br />
and Tourism, and other well-known figures.<br />
The fourth Kazenergy eurasian forum<br />
resulted in decisions to deepen cooperation<br />
between Kazakhstan and its key international<br />
partners; to form regional mechanisms for<br />
mutual support to overcome the consequences<br />
of the global economic crisis on the energy<br />
industry; to promote ecological issues in the
