Victoria I. Ford Acupuncture and Rehabilitation<br />

Center Dedicated<br />

A ribbon-cutting dedication <strong>of</strong> the new<br />

Victoria I. Ford Acupuncture and Rehabilitation<br />

Center at the UF Small Animal Hospital<br />

was held Sept. 24. The new space<br />

features a swimming pool and additional<br />

treadmill equipment. The Acupuncture<br />

and Rehabilitation Service <strong>of</strong>fers treatment<br />

for companion animals through the<br />

supervision <strong>of</strong> a qualified team <strong>of</strong> veterinarians<br />

led by Carolina Medina, D.V.M.,<br />

and Wendy Davies, C.V.T., C.C.R.A. The<br />

service aims to <strong>of</strong>fset pain and encourage<br />

healing in patients, either by supplementing<br />

traditional medical or surgical treatment<br />

or as an alternative approach for<br />

treating a variety <strong>of</strong> conditions ranging<br />

from obesity to arthritis to sports injury<br />

and other forms <strong>of</strong> disease.<br />
