He is much <strong>in</strong> demand as a cont<strong>in</strong>uo player, hav<strong>in</strong>g worked with <strong>the</strong> Waynflete<br />
S<strong>in</strong>gers, Portsmouth Festival Choir, Romsey Choral Society and Sou<strong>the</strong>rn Voices on<br />
many occasions <strong>in</strong>clud<strong>in</strong>g performances <strong>of</strong> Bach’s B m<strong>in</strong>or Mass, Handel’s Dixit<br />
Dom<strong>in</strong>us and Mozart’s C m<strong>in</strong>or Mass.<br />
Philip also works extensively as a piano accompanist with a particular focus on vocal<br />
music. He has played Schubert’s Schwanengesang with Jimmy Holliday <strong>in</strong><br />
W<strong>in</strong>chester Ca<strong>the</strong>dral and at Warwick Arts Centre and Britten’s canticle Abraham and<br />
Isaac at <strong>the</strong> Newbury Festival with <strong>William</strong> <strong>Kendall</strong> and Tom Norr<strong>in</strong>gton, as well as<br />
frequent appearances at <strong>the</strong> Hampshire S<strong>in</strong>ger <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Year competition with a number<br />
<strong>of</strong> soloists.<br />
His CD record<strong>in</strong>g work has <strong>in</strong>cluded organ accompaniment, choral direction and<br />
production with a discography focus<strong>in</strong>g on late 19 th and early 20 th century English<br />
choral music. Philip’s orchestral conduct<strong>in</strong>g engagements have <strong>in</strong>cluded Bach’s St<br />
Mat<strong>the</strong>w Passion and Bernste<strong>in</strong>’s Candide at <strong>the</strong> Cambridge Arts Theatre.<br />
In his spare time he enjoys f<strong>in</strong>e food and w<strong>in</strong>e, which he rout<strong>in</strong>ely comb<strong>in</strong>es with his<br />
passion for c<strong>in</strong>ema.<br />
