is willinge and doe agree to surrender the purchase <strong>of</strong><br />

the sayed <strong>Norwalk</strong>e, whith he bought <strong>of</strong> the Indians,<br />

<strong>of</strong> the sayed. <strong>Norwalk</strong>e, some years since ;<br />

which cost<br />

the sayed Roger Ludlowe fifteen pounds, some years<br />

since ; as by the purchase will appeare ;<br />

whith sayed<br />

fifteen pounds is promised to be payed to the sayed<br />

Roger Ludlowe or his assignes by the sayed Eli and<br />

Olmested their assignes, shortly after the first plantinge<br />

there<strong>of</strong>, with consideration for the sayed fifteen pounds<br />

from the disbursinge there<strong>of</strong> unto that time ;<br />

as also that<br />

the sayed Roger, shall have a convenient Lott, laied out<br />

for his sonnes, accordinge to the vallue <strong>of</strong> 2001b. in<br />

the proportion <strong>of</strong> Rates as they goe by themselfes ;<br />

and<br />

that it shall be one <strong>of</strong> the first ; the publique charges<br />

beinge borne by the sayed Lott, and proportinabley by<br />

themselfes ; and that it shall be one <strong>of</strong> the first Letts<br />

that shall be Laied out.<br />

A true and perfect Copyie <strong>of</strong> the confirmation <strong>of</strong> the<br />

purchase <strong>of</strong> the meadows and lands adjoininge lying<br />

eupon the other side <strong>of</strong> Norwake River.<br />

Memoranda. Wheareas Aashowshack and Chachoamer,<br />

Indians, are the survivinge propriators <strong>of</strong> the Land<br />

lyinge on the other side <strong>of</strong> Norwake River, whith sayed<br />

Land was fullie bargained for, and sold unto Captaine<br />

Patricke <strong>of</strong> Greenwich, and whereas the sayed Aashowshake<br />

and Chachoamer, doe testifie and affirme, with<br />

other Indians, that their was left unpayed by the sayed<br />

Captaine Patricke twoe Indian coates, and fowre fathom<br />

<strong>of</strong> wampam, now these are to certifie, that I Annanupp,<br />

Alias Parrott, so named and knowen to the English,
