Mentorship Program<br />
Staff at Youth Empowerment Center will be paired with teens.<br />
Mentors will meet with teen participants for a minimum <strong>of</strong> 1<br />
hour a week to discuss issues that affect teen’s development.<br />
At the culmination <strong>of</strong> this 3 month mentoring program, teens<br />
will participate in an appreciation dinner with their mentors<br />
and family.<br />

Rucker Park Basketball<br />
This program is designed to help teens develop their skills<br />
involved in the game <strong>of</strong> basketball. This program will also<br />

This program promotes musical interest with teens while<br />
teaching musicianship, fundamentals and empowering<br />
students with potential talent.<br />

This program is designed to help teens deal with daily issues<br />
they face through open interaction with peers.<br />

On-The-Job-Training<br />
The Youth Empowerment On-The-Job and Apprenticeship<br />
program is designed to place teens in the workforce as trainees.<br />
The employer provides the participant a safe environment to<br />
learn and develop work maturity skills. Participants are paid an<br />
$8.00 per hour stipend during the training period.<br />

Digital Connectors<br />
Comcast/One Economy Digital Connectors program is<br />
designed for youths ages 14-21 to pursue a career in<br />
telecommunications and digital media by mastering Internet<br />
and P.C skills. Participants will share their knowledge through<br />
volunteer service in their local community.<br />
