Our people
Catholic Healthcare aims to have a
workplace culture that fosters respect
in all aspects of the organisation.
We are proud of our people and
their commitment to Catholic
Healthcare’s mission, to promote life
in all its fullness.
When asked about the value of
respect, General Manager, Human
Resources, Sam Galluccio, said, “The
value of respect is fundamental to
the way people in our workplaces
relate to one another. Respect is
the key guiding principle for the
way in which managers role model
appropriate standards of behaviour,
and where necessary, respectfully
hold to account those who do
not abide by those standards and
expectations.”
SCHOLARSHIPS PROMOTE
EXCELLENCE AND INNOVATION
In the rapidly changing aged, health
and community environment, it
is imperative that we continually
strive to increase the capability
and competency of the Catholic
Healthcare workforce to ensure
residents, clients and patients receive
excellent care.
It is with this goal of continuous
improvement in mind that Catholic
Healthcare this year introduced the
Catholic Healthcare Scholarship
Fund and the Catholic Healthcare
Innovation Fund, both initiatives of
Catholic Healthcare’s Managing
Director, David Maher.
The Catholic Healthcare Scholarship
Fund provides funding for existing
Catholic Healthcare staff members,
regardless of their position, to
undertake further studies relevant to
their work. The Catholic Healthcare
Innovation Fund provides funding to
support innovation within Catholic
Healthcare’s operations.
The scholarships will be offered
annually and applicants will be
selected based on merit.
David Maher, Managing Director,
said, “We are delighted to introduce
the Scholarship Fund and the
Innovation Fund and are grateful
to our generous donors who have
made this initiative possible. Through
education, we will further develop
our people, and, in turn, grow in
excellence as an organisation
committed to delivering the very
best for residents and clients.”
