Stellaluna puppet at the Pride-Chaneyville
Branch on Saturday, October 1, at 2:30 p.m.

Farmers’ Day Storytime and Craft
Children ages 5-7 are invited to celebrate Farmers’ Day at the River Center
Branch on Saturday, October 8, at 2:30 p.m.
Hear Little Farm by the Sea by Kay Chorao and other books about farms.
Afterward, children will paint sunflower pictures to take home, using poster
board, tempera paint, and brushes.

National Poetry Day Celebration
October 15 is National Poetry Day! Celebrate poetry with us at the Scotlandville
Branch as we read poetry from some very talented children’s poets such as Shel
Silverstein, Jack Prelutzky, Maya Angelou, and many more on Saturday, October
15, at 3:00 p.m.
Children ages 6 to 11 who wish to recite a poem should give us a call to
register, and let us know which poem you’ll be reading. However, anyone can
be a part of our audience! Children under 9 years old must be accompanied by
an adult.

at the Library, or from home!
With TumbleBooks, you get a
picture book with added animation,
music, sound, and narration to create
a unique story experience!
Children can read the
Tumblebook themselves, or have it
read to them by the computer.
The TumbleBook Library has a
wide variety of children's favorite
story books, with newer favorites,
fairy tales, and old classics. There are
also puzzles and games, language
learning books, Tumble TV episodes,
and non-fiction books!

time to build a new Main Library!
The Children's Room will begin
the celebration with a Construction
Storytime for children ages 3 and
up.
Draw up your plans for stories,
songs, crafts and an up-close visit
with a REAL dump truck! Rev up
your engines for some library fun.
