<strong>COOLING</strong> <strong>PIPING</strong> <strong>PLANS</strong><br />

Many pumps in high temperature services require cooling water piping to the<br />

bearing housing or stuffing box jacket. Using API610 (5 th Ed.) as a basis of<br />

description, the following lists the optional standard plans that are available from<br />

Dean Pump. These plans are offered in steel and stainless steel and are offered in<br />

tubing or in piping to meet customer requirements. If a specific requirement is not<br />

shown, please contact the factory for assistance.<br />

PARTIAL <strong>COOLING</strong> TO BEARING HOUSING<br />

Many customers furnish their own cooling piping plans for pumps in hot services. The connection from the<br />

stuffing box/ seal chamber cooling jacket to the inlet side of the bearing cooling coil is difficult for an<br />

inexperienced person because of the number of bends that must be made. Dean Plan SK1191 is the<br />

difficult piping that customers prefer not to do.<br />
