School Health Programme Coordinator (State Headquarter)
ELIGIBILITY & QUALIFICATIONS:
Post graduation in Business Administration/Social Sciences, Pass in subject of
Punjabi upto Matric standard.
EXPERIENCE:
At least three years post qualification experience in management of National
Health/Development Programme at National / State/ District level in either
government or NGO settings/Private Sector/Research Institution/University.
Experience of working with communities on health and development related
issues exposure to working with civil society groups in area of health care/
Public health/ rural development will be desirable. Computer proficiency with
high level of familiarity with data base management & commonly used
packages like MS-Word, Power Point, etc.
Excellent communication & presentation skills, analytical & interpersonal
abilities excellent oral & written communication skill in English & Punjabi.
AGE
Up to 45 years
Specific Duties and Responsibilities will include:-
1. The Coordinator will coordinate School Health Programme at District
Level.
2. He / She will manage the fund flow for various activities of the
Programme at State Level.
3. Will assist the Account Officer in releasing funds & maintaining the
accounts for the School Health Programme.
4. Propose & implement a coherent strategy for School Health
Programme in the PIP.
5. To address the basic health needs of children both physical & mental
and in addition Nutrition Interventions, Yoga facilities & Counseling.
6. Screening of general health assessment of Anemia / Nutritional Status,
Visual acuity, heaving problems, Dental Check up, Common Skin
conditions, Heart defects, Physical disabilities, Learning disorders,
Behavior Problems etc.
7. Ensuring the provision of medicine kit to take care of common ailments
prevalent among young school going children.
8. Ensuring the provision of referral cards for priority services at District /
Sub- District Hospital.
9. Ensuring weekly supervised distribution of Iron- Foliate tablets coupled
with education about the issue & administration of Vitamin A in needy
cases.
10. Encourage the Schools in promoting the following :

i. Counseling services.

Regular Practice of Yoga, Physical Education, Health
Education, Peer Leaders as health educations
Adolescent Health Education existing in few places.
Health clubs, Health cabinets.
v. First aid room/corners or clinics
11. Ensuring management of Immunization Programme as per National
Schedule coupled with imparting education about the issue
12. Support the Programme in the areas of coordination and monitoring &
evaluation.
Salary
Honorarium will be paid on a monthly basis @ Rs.20, 000/- subject to
deduction of taxes as applicable.
