• Real Estate. <strong>Venable</strong>’s highly respected real estate practice assists clients with complex commercial<br />

real estate transactions, including structuring sale, purchase or lease transactions, preparing financial<br />

documentation, and obtaining land use approvals. <strong>For</strong> instance, we represented the Special Libraries<br />

Association in the sale of its historic D.C. headquarters building and the purchase of its new<br />

Alexandria, Virginia headquarters, and did the same for the Air Conditioning Contractors of America<br />

prior to that. We also advise clients on the tax implications of various real estate transactions,<br />

including, most recently, <strong>The</strong> American Institute of Architects. <strong>Venable</strong> has particular experience<br />

representing title holding subsidiaries of tax-exempt organizations including 501(c)(2) and 501(c)(25)<br />

entities, as well as single-member limited liability corporations. We are very familiar with the<br />
