CLASSES ARE FILLING FAST FOR 2012
If you know of any family wishing to enrol for 2012,
please advise them that most classes are filling fast
and waiting lists are already in place for some
classes. Three Prep classes are already full!!
Enrolments are now being accepted for 2013 and
2014 and it would pay to get in early to avoid
disappointment as the lists are already growing
rapidly.
MOVING OR LEAVING IN 2012?
If your family is moving or leaving the College for next
year, please advise the College in writing, to assist us
with2012 planning.

during the holidays, with Term 3 bus fares and any camps

Dear Parents and Friends ...
You are invited to attend our Official Opening of Riverside Buildings.
Both K Block and our Multi‐Purpose Hall will be officially opened by Senator the Hon John Hogg
on Wednesday 26 October, 2011. The function will be held in the Hall from 9:00am to 10:00am.
Please join with us as we celebrate the ongoing development of the fantastic facilities here at
Riverside. (Ladies, please note that the flooring surface is not suitable for high heels, thank you.)
Thinking of and prayers are with the students who had their classroom burn down
at the Upper Primary Campus of Groves Christian College last week. There was fire
and smoke damage to 6 classrooms and a number of student and staff resources,
as well as school equipment, has been lost.
Principal Terrence McCorkell said, “We often teach our students that the temporary
things of earth are passing. In fact I reminded the Year 3 students last week of the song,
"Turn your eyes upon Jesus, Look full in his wonderful face, and the things of earth will grow
strangely dim in the light of his glory and grace". It was one thing to sing this song last
week. It will be another thing to live it this week. In light of this, should the burning of our
classrooms render us unable to achieve our mission of "Educating for Eternity"? Quite the
opposite. It will test our resolve to achieve this mission despite the problems. In fact, the
brightness and attractiveness of eternity with God should stand out brighter against the
blackened remains of the classrooms.”
