Ratchet dampers (further as dampers) are used as a dust proof seal or choking control on hopper
type storage units for powdered materials.
Design
The dampers are of welded construction. The damper plate is routed (pinned) by two self locking
bevelled plates. Movement of the dampers is performed by a rack and pinion system attached to the
plates.
To lock the damper in position, the end of the shaft is designed with a channel type 8 P9 for a
spring mechanism. The method of control is as per the complimentary number given in table 1.
