CAMP COURAGEOUS OF IOWA
RENTAL RATES FOR 2013
AN ALCOHOL & TOBACCO FREE ENVIRONMENT
A non-refundable deposit of 20% of the estimated cost is requested to secure each reservation.
FACILITY ACCOMMODATIONS
Lodge: $200.00/12 hours or $25/hour
Lodge Basement $55.00/12 hours or $10.00/hour
Cabins: Menster Cabin $15.00/person/night or $110/cabin (whichever is greater)
South Cabin $15.00/person/night or $110/cabin. (whichever is greater)
Use of kitchen in South Cabin is $55/day.
Pitlik Cabin $15.00/person/night or $110/cabin (whichever is greater)
South Basement $55.00/12 hours or $15.00/hour or $12.00/person/night
Menster Dorm $55.00/ 12 hours (Not available in the summer and early fall)
Sill Barn: Upper level - $110/12 hour period or $20/hour.
Lower level - $55/ 12 hours
Gym: $65.00/12 hours or $20.00/hour
Arts and Crafts Building: $55.00/12 hours or $10.00/hour
Main office (Board room): $15.00/hour or $60/day
Nature Center: $55.00/12 hours or $12.00/hour
Tent camping: $5.00/person (We do not provide tents.)
POOL
Indoor & heated. Includes a camp lifeguard.
$65.00/hour 30 people or less one pool- 1 guard
$90.00/hour 30 people or less both pools - 2 guards
$90.00/hour 31-60 people both pools - 2 guards
$120/hour 61-90 people both pools - 3 guards
$15/hour
Use of pool classroom.
Larger groups should contact camp for rates.
Winter Swimming Lessons: $40.00 for a two-week session (no transportation)
$45.00 includes transportation to and from camp.
$15.00 for 30 minute private lesson.
$4.00/day or $40 for a 15-visit punch card.
DIETARY SERVICES *
Meals with campers: Breakfast - $4.50 Lunch - $5.50 Dinner - $5.50
Meals- rental group only:** Breakfast - $6.00 Lunch 1 entree- $8.50 Dinner -1 entree- $8.50
Breakfast - $6.00 Lunch 2 entree- $10.50 Dinner - 2 entree - $10.50
Catered out of the lodge: Breakfast - $7.50 Lunch 1 entree- $9.50 Dinner - 1 entree- $9.50

No charge for diners under age 4.
Refreshments (Beverage and snack): $2.50/person
There is a minimum of 20 for dietary services. Final count is needed one week prior to the rental date
and this will be the minimum amount charged.
**Does not include rental of facility for meetings, etc. If however, a group eats and departs there is no
rental charge to use the lodge.

TV/VCR: $7.00/hour
Easel -$20/day
Surround Sound System (VCR, CD Tuner, DVD, PA System Capabilities): $100.00/hr-camp staff
required.
OTHER EQUIPMENT
Caving equipment: (Helmet and knee pads) $3.00/person
Cross-Country: Skis/boots/poles $4.00/hour
Boots: $1.50/hour
Skis/poles $2.50/hour
Equipment package rental: $10.00/4 hours or $15.00/8 hours
Snow shoes: $3.00/hour
Chairs used away from camp: $1/chair
Tables stored on lodge basement used away from camp: $3/table
Funwagon: $25/day
PROGRAM/EDUCATIONAL SERVICES
Instruction provided by qualified camp staff person: $40.00/hour per group. A “group” is defined as 12
or less individuals. This may include ropes course, initiative course, caving, archery, nature activities,
crafts, orienteering, cross-country skiing, etc.
Instruction for high adventure activities like the burma, angle dangle, tree climb, rock climbing &
rappelling, etc. or horseback riding cost $80/hour.
Train rides-$20/hour per group (up to 30 people) depending on availability.
