Nature and Extent of involvement of faculty and students in academic affairs/improvements<br />
On every alternate Saturday, a group of 20 students is attached to a counselor (one of the college<br />
lecturers) who provides all kinds of counseling to the students in academic and personal matters.<br />
Moreover, each department has a departmental association to promote academic and recreational<br />
activities and to ensure overall development of students personally.<br />

Mechanism/Norms & Procedure for democratic/good Governance<br />
There are councils for students and the staff, namely, <strong>St</strong>udent Welfare Council (SWC) and staff<br />
council to take care of the interests of the students and the staff respectively.<br />
<br />
<strong>St</strong>udent Feedback on Institutional Governance/faculty performance<br />
<strong>St</strong>udents’ feedback on performance of the faculty and staff in class-rooms / labs / shops is taken<br />
twice in every semester. These feedbacks are discussed with the faculty and staff for improvement<br />
and corrective action if need be.<br />
<br />
Grievance redressal mechanism for faculty, staff and students<br />
<strong>St</strong>udents are allowed to freely interact with respective H.O.D. and Dean / Principal for any<br />
grievance. Quick redressal is ensured within minimum possible time.<br />
Regular meetings of faculty and staff are held at the level of H.O.D and Principal during<br />
which grievance of faculty and staff, if any, are taken up and sorted out.

Brief Bio-data of Dr. Vivek Anand<br />
Dr. Vivek Anand has over 25 years experience including about 10 years<br />
international experience in teaching, training, industry, Human Resource Planning and<br />
construction Management. He has teaching experience in B.I.T.S. Pilani, B.M.E.T Pilani,<br />
University of Asmara. N.E Africa and Y.I.T Jaipur. He has also served as Senior Civil<br />
Engineer in Ministry of Public Works, Government of Eritrea, N.E Africa. He has<br />
successfully handled many projects financed by European Union, World Bank, African<br />
Development Bank, USAIDS etc. He was also a member of highly prestigious National<br />
Commission for Classification & Registration of engineering professionals, government<br />
of Eritrea, Africa.<br />
He has graduated and post graduated in Civil <strong>Engineering</strong> from Birla Institute of<br />
Technology & Science (BITS), Pilani (Rajasthan). He did Ph.D on groundwater from<br />
Washington International University, Pennsylvania, U.S.A. The research was published<br />
in the journal of the Institution of Public Health Engineers, India, Vol.1991. Using his<br />
rich experience in Industry and academics, Dr. Vivek has coauthored and published a<br />
book on “Design Practical hand Book on Plumbing” through <strong>St</strong>andard Publishers<br />
Distributers, New Delhi in 2002.<br />
He has attended many seminars & conferences in India and abroad. Dr. Vivek is<br />
also member of many professional bodies. He is a life member of Indian Society for<br />
Technical Education (ISTE), Institution of Public Health Engineers (IPHE) and Indian<br />
Water Works Association (IWWA). He possesses a special interest in social works<br />
specially in Rural Housing & Hygiene.
