Valedictory Session - April 7, 2013
Guests on Dias in Valedictory Function
The Chief Guest of the function was Prof. R.P. Yadav Hon’ble Vice Chanchellor RTU.
The delegates and the students those are presented their papers and participated in this All
India Seminar are awarded with merit certificates presented by Chief Guest Hon’ble Vice
Chanchellor, RTU Dr.(Prof.) R.P. Yadav.

V.C. is welcomed by Er. R.L. Agarwal

V.C. is awarding the certificate of merit to Ambika Kaul for the best paper in the Seminar
The delegates and the students presented their papers and participated in this National Seminar were
awarded merit certificates presented by our Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Dr. R.P.Yadav.

Hon’ble Vice Chanchellor Dr. R.P. Yadav delivering valedictory address
Hon’ble V.C. said that in technical education Rajasthan has progressed very well in last couple of
years. RTU has introduced new courses to meet the requirement of new industries coming in Rajasthan
like petroleum refinery, solar panels, aeronautics etc. To alleviate the man power of engineering
colleges the RTU has started research programs at every division. It will also boost the Research and
Development, he said. He further said to compete in a competitive world, the students have to work
hard and 8 hrs working is not sufficient to survive in the industries now a days in changed scenario as
the production cycle of every product is 6 months. And an engineer has to think and launch new
product within 6 months. He asked the students to change their mind set and attitude. No university
guaranteed the job any where in the world including IITS, IIMS, MIT and Howard or Cambridge. You
have to make your self eligible for the job by doing projects and improving your communication skills
and technical skills. He stressed more on training while studying.
Today only 30% students are eligible for the jobs or employable. Industries are closing down due to
lack of the skilled and qualified manpower. Students have to change their attitude and have to be self
disciplined. Today one engineer performs the job of three persons i.e. of engineering, economics and
research/scientist. In India job is tough even though our GDP growth is 5% where in USA it is only 2.3
% but still we have unemployment problem as our graduates are not having quality education.
