Managed Drug Plan

ESI Canada’s Dynamic Therapeutic Formulary (DTF) is a
drug plan with a difference. The DTF is part of a tiered
plan for pay direct drugs. Drug coverage is based on a list
of drugs that are reimbursed at a higher level than other
drugs available under the plan. This drug list is
sometimes called a formulary.
Your clients can continue to provide a competitive drug
plan for their employees without eliminating coverage for
other medications. Since the payout on the formulary
drugs is higher, the plan encourages employees to take
an active role in understanding and managing their
drug benefit.

Manulife to Exit ConnectInsure
– March 1, 2005
Since 2001, Manulife has participated in a web-based group
insurance quote source, known as ConnectInsure. Manulife
was one of the first participants in this initiative. A decision
has been made to exit the ConnectInsure marketplace on
March, 1, 2005.

job loss or career change. Available to Canadian residents,
comprehensive individual health and dental benefits are available
at an affordable cost and guaranteed acceptance within 60 days
of the date group coverage ends.
For brokers and agents, FollowMe now includes a competitive
commission payment at the time of sale and at each renewal.
Manulife will focus all efforts on the distribution of our
software tool, Alpha Quote.

Alpha Quote software provides instant access to group
insurance quotes for groups of 2 to 24 employees. It is easy to
use and can be run on your own computer, anytime,
anywhere. In fact, it is the same tool that the group offices use

FollowMe – Enhanced for January 2005
Manulife Group Benefits has teamed up with "Manulife Affinity
markets to launch a new enhanced FollowMe product. The new
offering includes many new plan design options, including access
to electronic drug & dental claims networks. FollowMe is
designed to provide a coverage conversion option for employees
