Purpose of the <strong>role</strong><br />

The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for conduct<strong>in</strong>g the adm<strong>in</strong>istration of the<br />

loan portfolio. He/she will also be responsible for draft<strong>in</strong>g credit papers, conduct<strong>in</strong>g due<br />

diligence on loan cases, undertak<strong>in</strong>g research and compil<strong>in</strong>g team reports as required.<br />

Key tasks & responsibilities<br />

• Ensure the adm<strong>in</strong>istration of the team’s portfolio is carried out to the highest standard,<br />

<strong>in</strong>clud<strong>in</strong>g prepar<strong>in</strong>g facility and <strong>in</strong>struction letters, complet<strong>in</strong>g legal and drawdown<br />

documentation, manag<strong>in</strong>g client files and <strong>in</strong>putt<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong>formation onto the various <strong>Bank</strong><br />

systems.<br />

• Assist the Assistant Manager/Manager to conduct due diligence on assigned cases <strong>in</strong> the<br />

associated loan portfolio.<br />

• Prepare applicable credit papers which require m<strong>in</strong>imal <strong>in</strong>put from the Manager prior to<br />

presentation at Credit Committee.<br />

• Action client requests accurately <strong>in</strong> a timely fashion and attend client meet<strong>in</strong>gs as required.<br />

• Prepare regular monthly team reports and complete ad hoc reports as required.<br />

• Provide guidance to junior colleagues as appropriate.<br />

Experience and skills required<br />

Credit analysis & documentation<br />

• Prior lend<strong>in</strong>g experience desirable<br />

• Demonstrated ability to prepare credit applications and complete associated loan documentation,<br />

with a track record of work<strong>in</strong>g on a lend<strong>in</strong>g team/prior credit experience.<br />

Client Relationships<br />

• Prior experience of work<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> a client fac<strong>in</strong>g <strong>role</strong> would be an advantage<br />

Organizational Effectiveness<br />

• Ability to prioritise work under time constra<strong>in</strong>ts and deliver to required deadl<strong>in</strong>es.<br />

• Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy required. `<br />

• Manages multiple priorities (<strong>in</strong>clud<strong>in</strong>g work of others).<br />

• Ability to work on their own <strong>in</strong>itiative as well as tak<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong>struction from others.<br />
