A month of celebration ends with prayer and commission of our seniors.
I just needed to take some
space in this months
newsletter to speak about
the wonderful achievements
that were witnessed by the
community of the church.
So far of the 6 students that
took confirmation class, 5
have been confirmed. The
confirmations were well
attended by all the family
and frie n ds of the

May Event Pictures
June/July Calendars
Wolfe all completed the
class and were confirmed on
the 20th of May. Then on
the 26th, both Madison and
Parker Hazen also became
members of the church
through confirmation. It
was a celebration and
excitement to see so many
young people be confirmed.
Also on the 26th of May we
celebrated the milestone of
high school graduation with
5 of our graduating seniors.
Only 3 were able to attend
on Sunday morning where
students, family, and
friends honored them and
prayed over them for their
future as seen in the picture
above. They adorned their
cap and gowns and shared
their immediate fall plans
with the church. That
evening, a banquet was
held for the senior grads
and their families with other
student ministry students in
attendance. Richard Feiler
came to share a message of
encouragement and praise
for their futures. Students
got to peruse childhood
photos and awards of their
fellow graduates as their
parents decorated their
tables in honor of their
students. The dinner which
featured Huli Huli chicken,
(recipe inside) rice pilaf,
Mac & cheese, salad, bread
and rolo crusted brownie
with ice cream, chocolate
syrup and cookies were
enjoyed by all. Thanks to all
the students/parents that
came to help serve on
Sunday.

Confirmation Retreated. By Jennifer Morris
For the confirmation retreat I
went to the Ron Jon Resort in
Cape Canaveral. I had a lot of fun
there. I went with Alyssa Nelson.
I didn’t expect it to be as amazing
as I thought it would be. We went
to eat at the Resort’s restaurant
then we went to swim for a couple
hours. When we got back to the
room me and Alyssa went to the
gym and worked out! The next
day we went out to the pool,
played water volleyball, and went
to the beach, but my favorite part
was when we woke up at 4:30 to
watch the rocket launch! Even
though it got delayed I saw a
cruise ship come in at night! We
played in the lazy river, the hot
tubs, played pool volleyball, and
rode the gigantic water slide for
hours. I also played miniature golf
for the first time ever. It was a
great trip, but I wish it would have
lasted longer.

Middle School Lock-In Welcomes 5th Graders.
On June 8 th and 9 th , we are having
a Middle School Lock-In. This is
the 5 th grade welcoming event
and it will be open to all
graduating 5 th through graduating
8 th graders. 5 th graders will be
welcome to attend any and all
summer events and meetings
from this day on. The plan is to
meet at the church at 7pm. We
will then shortly after head over
to Richard Feiler’s home for a pool
party and for burgers. We will
catch a movie there and then
head back to the church. There
at the church, we will have some
free time to hang out and have
fun with friends. Some time early
in the morning we will be having
ice cream sundaes. We will be
going to sleep at about 3 in the
morning (this is not an up-allnight
lock-in.) There is a sign-up
sheet in the CYAC to ensure we
h a v e e n o u g h f o o d a n d
transportation. Everyone MUST
have a notarized emergency
release form which are also
available in the CYAC. There is no
cost for this event. Make sure you
bring a modest bathing suit (no
string bikinis; you may be asked to
wear a shirt), a towel, a change of
clothes, a pillow, and a sleeping
bag/blanket and plan to be picked
up at 8am.
Join Other Churches @ Youth Week!!! June 12-14.
Mid June we are participating with
3 or 4 other churches in an event
called Youth Week. It is from
June 12 th through the 14 th each
night from 6-930p. This is open
to students graduating 5 th -12 th
and will be held in 3 locations.
Focus will be on fellowship,
worship, service, and fun. We will
be meeting in 3 different locations
over 3 different days so make
sure that you sign up if you
are attending. Guys are
asked to bring a 2 liter of
soda and girls are asked to
bring a box of Little Debbie
snack cakes. On day two,
students are asked to bring
a small donation for a great
cause. Sign Ups are in the CYAC.
Pursuit and Xplore are cancelled
these two nights so I hope you will
come and enjoy the fellowship with
other churches in the area.
Huli Huli Hawaiian Chicken Recipe.

Ingredients:
4-5 lbs chicken pieces
1/3 cup ketchup

Hey all, I’m getting excited about
this year’s youth Sunday. We
already have a speaker and
worship leader lined up. We will
be planning on more through out
the summer. We had to move it
towards the end of the

1/3 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup brown sugar
3 tablespoons sherry
1 piece ginger root, crushed
1 clove garlic, crushed
summer though because we really
wanted to hear testimonies of
summer events, camps and
missions trip/projects to be
shared with the congregations
and we couldn’t do that at the
beginning of the summer. There
Preparation: Combine ketchup, soy sauce, brown sugar,
sherry, ginger root, and garlic. Stir well.
Place chicken, skin side up, on the rack of broiler pan
about 6 inches from the heat or preferably on an outdoor
grill. Baste the chicken frequently and continue broiling or
grilling for about 10 minutes on each side or until chicken
appears done.
