The Location
The region comprises the City of Aschaffenburg and the
districts (Landkreise) of Aschaffenburg and miltenberg.
On a surface of 1,478 square kilometres live 369,249
people in 65 towns and villages. This corresponds to a
population density of 250 inhabitants per square kilometre
(30 September 2012)
Among the 132,104 employees, 52,562 (40 %) were
working in the production sector and 70,582 (53 %) in
the service sector on 30 June 2012.

Industrial area „An der Linde“
Transport link:
Road: The area is located near the autobahn A3 (Frankfurt - Würzburg). The nearest
autobahn connection Marktheidenfeld is 13 km away (no through road); the exit ist 15 km
away. Faulbach has since 2012 a very well-constructed bypass.
Waterway: The area is on the right bank of the river Main and has a loading and
unloading unit between Main-km 149.050 and 149.400. The river Main offers an access to
the waterway network in central Europe and enables water transport from East to West
via the Main-Danube-Canal.
Railway: In the south, the area borders on the river Main. Near the banks of the river is
the regional railway line Aschaffenburg-Miltenberg-Wertheim-Lauda. The gravel plant
used to have its own industrial rail of 800 m. The nearest ICE train station is in
Aschaffenburg.
Air: The airport Frankfurt/Main is about 75 km away. Moreover, there is an airport in
Mainbullau (home of the aviation club Flugsportclub Miltenberg e.V.).
