are eligible for this scholarship. Awards are determined by faculty and program<br />
staff upon review of Admission Applications during the admission process.<br />
Recipients will be notified of their awards before the start of their program.<br />
Psy.D. Contribution to Diversity Scholarship—Based on students’ academic<br />
ability, assistance is available to Psy.D. students for tuition expenses through the<br />
<strong>Graduate</strong> School of Education and Psychology.<br />
Assistantships<br />
<strong>Full</strong> time students (enrolled in at least six units) may gain valuable work<br />
experience through three types of assistantships. While a student may hold<br />
more than one assistantship, the maximum number of hours a student may<br />
work is 19 3 ⁄4 per week. Master’s degree students earn $11.62 per hour and<br />
doctoral students earn $12.68 per hour.<br />
<strong>Graduate</strong> Assistantship (GA)—Students are trained to assist staff with<br />
clerical, telephone, and administrative duties related to financial aid, human<br />
resources, marketing, professional development, special events, technology, and<br />
other areas. Interested students may obtain an application through the <strong>GSEP</strong><br />

Research Assistantship (RA)—Students assist faculty members by accessing<br />
and summarizing articles; participating in the preparation of presentations; and/<br />
or collecting, scoring, and analyzing data. Interested students should contact<br />

Teaching Assistantship (TA)—Students assist faculty members with tutoring<br />
students, arranging for guest speakers, and other instructional activities.<br />
