Worldhotels Announces First Branded Hotel in The Philippines
Worldhotel and Residences Makati to open in 2013
(Hong Kong, April 19, 2012) – Worldhotels, the exclusive collection of independent hotels, has
announced its first branded hotel in the Philippines.
Worldhotel and Residences Makati is scheduled to open in the last quarter of 2013 in Makati
Avenue, Metro Manila.
The deluxe 4-star property features 252 guest rooms, including 72 suites, whilst the
residences will feature 149 serviced apartments.
Facilities include four restaurants and two bars, in addition to a ballroom, gym, spa lounge,
massage, meeting rooms and business centre.
Worldhotel and Residences Makati is the first of five branded hotels currently earmarked by
Worldhotels for development over the next decade.
The unique new ‘Worldhotel’ branded hotel solution has been enthusiastically greeted by
independent Asian hoteliers its launch last year.
The first branded hotel in Asia was Worldhotel Saltanat in Almaty Kazakhstan followed by
Worldhotel Grand Juna Wuxi in China. It extended to India recently with the opening of
Worldhotel Turquoise Chandigarh.
Under the solution, Worldhotels provides consultancy, technical support and management
services to independent hotels during construction or renovation.
It also brings a recognised and respected identity under the Worldhotels brand – along with
sales and marketing through its established global distribution network.
“We are pleased to announce that the Worldhotel branding is now extended to The
Philippines,” said Roland Jegge, Worldhotels Vice President Asia-Pacific. “The branded hotel
solution offers one of the most flexible models in the world for upscale independent properties
and hotel groups, enabling them to position themselves internationally in the face of
competition from global hospitality brands.”
