Business curriculum
developed & facilitated
by the YEOC Mentors.
The Young Executives of Color program is designed to
promote access to higher education by increasing
awareness of opportunities available in the business field
for diverse high school students identified as having
extraordinary academic and leadership potential.
This program offers students the opportunity to develop
skill sets that we believe will give them a dual competitive
advantage in the preparation for college and the business
world.
A majority of YEOC students will be among the 1st in
their family to attend college and are looking for a
vehicle to improve their future. YEOC provides a
pipeline to college by offering resources to help students
navigate the college admissions process while showcasing
opportunities in business.
The program provides high school students of color with
the academic and informational tools needed to
successfully transition from high school to college and
ultimately the Foster School of Business.
YEOC mentors represent a
diversity of academic
abilities, socioeconomic and
ethnic backgrounds - their
common denominator is the
overarching goal to help
their communities. They are
a reflection of who we hope
the Young Executives will
emulate as they prepare and
pursue college admissions.
Each Young Executive was
assigned a YEOC Mentor,
one of a group of UW Foster
School of Business students
of color who offer guidance,
help and support to ensure
successful preparation for
college and beyond.
