EQUIPMENT CONDITION
Two cotter pins (Appendix D, Item 26) Fifth wheel removed (M815) (TM 9-2320-260-20).
Two locknuts (Appendix D, Item 172)
Drycleaning solvent (Appendix C, Item 48) GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Rags (Appendix C, Item 32) Keep fire extinguisher nearby when using
drycleaning solvent.
Eye protection must be worn when using
compressed air.
Compressed air source will not exceed 30 psi
(207 kPa).
a. Disassembly
1. Remove two cotter pins (3) from two locking arms (5) and fifth wheel (2). Discard cotter pins (3).
2. Remove two locknuts (l), screws (4), and locking arms (5) from fifth wheel (2). Discard locknuts (1).
