The combined INEOS Films & Compounds Group employs approximately 2,100 people with 

sites in Germany, Italy, France, Switzerland, Sweden, UK, India and the USA. 

Production capacity stands at 180,000 tonnes per annum of PVC and PVC-PE films, 8,000 

tonnes of PET and PET-PE films and 365,000 tonnes of PVC compounds and Barex resin. 

Key raw materials, including PVC resin, plasticisers and acrylonitriles, are obtained mainly 

through associated companies of the INEOS Group. This provides important integration 

synergy within the overall group and also in the case of INEOS Films means that we are the 

only integrated Rigid PVC Film producer in Europe.

INEOS Refining is Europe's leading independent crude oil refiner. With two particularly 

advantaged refineries it processes more than 410,000 barrels of crude oil per day, to produce in 

the region of 20 million Tonnes of fuels per annum. Refineries are strategically located at 

Grangemouth Scotland and Lavéra France and are both fully integrated with co-sited petrochemical 

assets of the company. Close proximity to feedstocks and customers are key elements

Grangemouth is directly connected to the Forties oil field system in the North Sea and also

INEOS Styrenics is a producer of ethylbenzene and styrene monomer with production facilities in 

Germany. In 2007 INEOS Styrenics US operations were included in the extension of the NOVA 

Innovene joint venture which was re-named INEOS NOVA. Polystyrene and expandable polystyrene

Styrene monomer is used extensively in the manufacture of plastics, resins, rubbers and latexes
