Collection 2012 Collection 2012 

With 2012 collection our company PELL‘S 

comes to third decade of existence. It was 

founded shortly after political changes in 

Czech republic and belongs to oldest and 

now also traditional Czech trade marks. 

PELL‘S is one of the technological leaders 

in cycling industry in Central Europe. This 

was also confirmed in the Bike Brno Prestige 

competition (that was three times listed 

during the international fair Bike Brno). In all 

years the international jury selected as the 

best Czech product a PELL‘S bike. 

Year 2008: 1st place PELL’S Seven X (mtb) 

Year 2009: 1st place PELL‘S 6IX (road) 

Year 2010: 1st place PELL’S Seven (road) 

We focus on the development, research 

and application of carbon composites from 

the beginning. We have developed number 

of custom technology solutions - from 

custom carbon fiber tube technology to the 

unique rear triangle or BMX specials. 

Our first developed and manufactured 

frames were handmade carbon specials 

for pure racing purposes. After success 

of PELL‘S bikes in World Cup race (Giro 

d‘Italia), World Championships, Olympic 

Games and several Czech Championships, 

since 2006, we began to produce a 

complete collection of bikes to satisfy a 

wider range of cyclists. Our rich experiences 

in development and construction of racing 

carbon frames, which are the guarantee of 

originality, craftsmanship, sense of detail, 

proven geometry and tests in the toughest 

racing conditions, are reflected in these 

collections. 

We are proud of international success of 

our riders also in this year. For example of 

Romana Labounkova‘s sovereign victory 

in 4X World Championships in Leogang 

and also other of her achievements in BMX 

World Cup. Jarda Rygl won two World 

Championships in MTBO and also other 

riders are successful while testing our bikes 

on the race track. 

Introducing new catalogue is our annual 

pleasure. This is the moment when the new 

collection begins to live. It‘s a moment of joy, 

euphoria, expectations and also result of our 

yearlong work. We love cycling and we are 

obsessed with perfection. Combining these 

two powers led to 2012 collection. 

We believe in quality of our bikes, that‘s 

why we decided to make a significant step in 

our customer care. We offer you now a free 

extended three year warranty on the frame 

and PELL‘S components. With the new bike 

registration system you can also get help in 

case of theft of your bike. 

vision and implementation 

Our roots are already deep enough and it is easy to see how out ideas gradually transform into the final product. A 

good example of how the vision comes into reality is the development of a unique PELL‘S Medium Tail rear triangle. 

The system of rear suspension via 

two carbon foils was for the first time 

developed and tested in 2002. The 

carbon foil was first introduced to 

public in 2003 in Soft-tail system on 

XF3 frame (the frame was made from 

carbon tubes built into aluminum 

pipes). 

In 2004 we first introduced PELL’S 

Medium Tail system - the system 

of rear suspension via two carbon 

foils. On the figure is X6 model 

supplemented by doublecrown 

carbon fork, which was also made 

on own development basis.

Tube was first introduced in 2008. 

The frame was made by using 

the „tube to tube“ method. The 

technology Bottom Stiffness Booster 

was used for the first time here. This 

bike won the first year of the Brno 

Bike Prestige competition. 

Medium tail system has undergone 

further development in 2009. Rear 

triangle foils got Carbon dropout 

and Carbon post mount. The Seven 

frame was enhanced by head tube 

1-1/8“ – 1-1/2“ and BB92 crank. 

Interlocutory development peak - 

an unique system of two hollow foils 

that responds to the development 

of more efficient disc brakes, stiffer 

string wheels, rims and other 

components. 

We do not focus only on the top models development but all of our model series go 

through a gradual evolutionary process. The most popular MTB model series Razzer 

uses 4 different frame types that are still being developed but all of them carry common 

genes of their predecessors - typical profiling and technologies. Have a look at even 

the cheapest Razzer model - used profiling, technologies, post mounts or design that 

underlines the quality of grinded joints. Then you can compare it with the cheapest MTB 

models of other brands. The difference is noticeable.

Seven29 XC Medium Tail 

XC Medium Tail Seven29 

The news in 2012 are culmination of years of 

Seven frame development. This frame won 

number of awards. The main frame triangle with 

absolute torsion stiffness is complemented by 

RRT rear triangle. The resulting frame provides 

the rider with uncompromising transfer of power; 

short rear triangle and wheelbase provide the 

bike with an amazing maneuverability and 

agility; XC racing geometry with a lower center 

guarantees stability, adhesion and control of the 

bike at all situations. All models are offered with a 

100 mm stroke suspension fork or with optional 

full-carbon non suspension PELL‘S FC F 29 

fork that can mean on technically undemanding 

tracks further acceleration due to its weigh 

(670 g, e.g. X.0 model with non suspension 

fork weights 8,6 kg), side stiffness and ability to 

eliminate slight vibrations. 

BB92 – extended crank link in the 

frame with integrated bearing (Press Fit). Thanks 

to this construc-tion we can produce the crank 

section wider and thus stiffer as well. The bearing 

is better protected and its mounting is easier. 

RRT – Reduced Rear Triangle - Short 

design of rear triangle (done by deflection of 

seat tube) and significantly reduced shape of 

rear frame structure are the main contributors 

of maximal side stiffness and perfect transfer 

of power of rider to forward movement. 

Flexible seat stays, which are unlike classic 

design „layed down“ under acute angle, 

together guarantee ultimate comfort without 

energy-loss. This technology fully uses an 

option to design carbon composite with 

different behaviour in horizontal and vertical 

axis. 

Tube to tube – the manufacturing 

method consists in making precisely tuned 

frame segments which are however not built 

into prearranged junctions but are compiled into 

one corpus with punctually defined procedure 

with the help of anisotropic composite with 

joint fibres. This is the most demanding way of 

fullcarbon frame manufacturing with a high ratio 

of handwork. 

Full Carbon Sandwich Tube – the technology of 

manufacturing individual frame segments. The 

inside and outside ply of fibres at individual tubes 

is chosen with the regard to high shape stiffness. 

Between these plies the inner texture is wedged 

where the angles and levels precisely correspond 

with the demands of the given frame section. The 

result is higher torsion stiffness of the sections 

and thus the whole frame. 

Head tube 1-1/8“ – 1-1/2“ – the combination of 

low weight of classic head set with the stifness of 

1,5“ construction. Thanks to this construction the 

section of the head tube is stiffer, the bicycle has 

better stability in high speeds, steering is more 

accurate and the bike is thus easier to control. 

Carbon dropout – full carbon dropout reducing 

frame weight together with aluminum dropout 

matching in color with the overall bicycle design. 

Carbon Post Mount – the direct linkage of the 

braking caliper to the frame for standard post 

mount grip which in an elegant way reduces the 

need of other adapters and thus brings weight 

reduction and more stiffness.

Razzer29 XC Hard Tail

New frames from 2012 collection are equipped 

with modern Post Mounts. XC racing geometry 

was revised to use a fork with 100 mm stroke. 

Sharper angles and shorter wheelbase provide 

the bike with improved maneuverability and 

agility. Lower center (in a similar height as the 

26“ models) guarantees stability, adhesion and 

control of the bike in all situations. 

Frames manufactured of triple butted P6 

Utralite material tubes.New geometry with 

gentle sloping is optimized for using the non 

suspension forks. 

Newly formed Bi-axial bottom tube increases 

strength of stressed part near head tube by its 

profilation. Vertical flattening within BB is done 

to maximal wide to achieve high efficiency 

of transfer of power to forward movement. 

This flattening also improves ability to absorb 

vibrations. 

VFHS (vertical flexible horizontal stiff) 

technology combines flat rear fork (foil type) 

and specifically molded and butted rear stays 

„S-bend“. Compared to 2010 these stays have 

markedly lower diameter. This combination 

provides rear triangle springing in vertical 

direction while keeping maximal side stiffness. 

Top tube connection to seat stay is a design 

speciality. The top tube is significantly flattened 

in direction to seat tube, goes around the seat 

tube and smoothly passes to seat stays. The 

reason for this solution is not only an original 

frame design, but especially improvement of 

riding features. „“Closure““ of a seat tube in 

significantly extended top tube and bigger pitch 

of seat stays makes the frame stiffer in horizontal 

axis. On the contrary, the vertical flattening of 

the top tube in this area participates in frame 

vibration absorption. Precise technical design is 

underlined by grinded welds.

Even though the wild european horse named 

Tarpan was eradicated in the 19th century we 

managed to cultivate its descendent. 

This alpha male easily passes any terrain on 

the planet, from the very first moment makes 

you feel that it masters anything without 

compromise: from Trail riding through All 

Mountain to agile Enduro. 

Captivating design of a very light and 

simultaneously rigid frame is given by exclusive 

hydroform shaping of the whole frame set and 

perfect link of design and functionality. 

Newly developed version of well-established 

4bar system provides 135mm of fully active 

suspension. The location of rear shock right 

in the axis of the seat stay minimizes weight 

of the clamp constituted by a featherlight 3D 

CNC machined component which is a brilliant 

representation of mastered skills. 

Thanks to optimal pivot position this frame 

maintains excellent springing characteristics 

regardless of forces arising from braking and 

motion of the chain. Biker´s power is fully 

transmitted into forward motion, the bike has 

permanently high adhesion which results in 

comfort and certainty in control. Sofisticated 

geometry also concentrates on optimal rider´s 

position in the sharpest maneuvres.

XC Full Suspension F-SIX 

The new full suspension carbon frame is 

born for victory in any XC race or marathon. 

Fully active 108 mm suspension provides 

excellent grip and confidence in every 

situation. Minimalised front frame triangle with 

massive front and central parts guarantee 

excellent torsion stiffness and power transfer. 

Despite the optically robust design that evokes 

uncompromising firmness compared to the 

previous F17 model we managed to save 300 

g of weight (thanks to Multibonding frame 

structure)! 

Multibonding frame structure is a combination 

of monocoque and tube to tube technology. 

The form for head tube, top tube and down 

tube is tuned separately and then produced by 

monocoque technology. The second part of 

the frame, consisting of bottom bracked and 

seat post, is also produced separately. Both are 

subsequently bond in a single unit. 

High Modulus Carbon Tubeset –frame 

segments are made from highly rigid carbon 

fibres. With the help of profilation we produce 

a stiff frame with excellent absorbing ability. 

Asymetric Rear Triangle – full 

carbon asymetric rear triangle provides 

maximal riding comfort and participates in 

excellent shock absorption. Asymetric low stay 

provides better passing of the chain. 

3D Carbon Linkage Arms – 3D shaped carbon 

link ensures weight reduction, maximal 

stiffness and ideal transfer of power on the 

damper.

XC Full Suspension F17 

Full suspension carbon bikes intended for XC 

and marathons with 100mm lift. The frame is 

manufactured from highly rigid carbon fibres 

(High Modulus). Monocoque construction of the 

main triangle with robust front section, carbon 

lever and full carbon asymetrical rear triangle 

guarantee low weight and excelent rigidity of 

the set. 

Placing the damper under the top tube 

centralizes gravity axis and simplifies bike 

control when riding. The damper is influenced 

through linkage by carbon lever attached to 

the front of the seat tube. The section of the 

damper is further reinforced through a stay 

eading to the seat tube. 

The F17 frame uses the well-established 

four-bar construction which is an ideal 

compromise between stiffness, weight and 

sensibility. All hinges are placed so that the 

motion of rear triangle is as linear as possible 

and answers to impulses of the terrain and 

on the contrary stays resistent to powers 

originating from pedalling. 

The massive section near the crank set 

provides firm support to the main hinge with 

the industrial bearing and provides high side 

stiffness when pedalling. 

The F17 frame uses the well-established fourbar 

construction which is an ideal compromise 

between stiffness, weight and sensibility. All 

hinges are placed so that the motion of rear 

triangle is as linear as possible and answers 

to impulses of the terrain and on the contrary 

stays resistent to powers originating from

glance with luxury „carbon“ look that is given 

by consistently grinded and puttied welds. 

Workmanship quality is underlined by graphic 

design that goes over these frame parts. 

Elegant Post Mounts are also new. The top tube 

connection to seat stay is a design speciality. 

The top tube is significantly flattened in direction 

to seat tube, goes around the seat tube and 

smoothly passes to seat stays. The reason 

for this solution is not only an original frame 

design, but especially improvement of riding 

features. „Closure“ of a seat tube in significantly 

extended top tube and bigger pitch of seat 

stays makes the frame stiffer in horizontal 

axis. On the contrary, the vertical flattening of 

the top tube in this area participates in frame 

vibration absorption. Precise technical design is 

underlined by grinded welds.

If you search for a bike for riding in the city, for 

commuting or just for occasional rides without 

sport ambitions we prepared STRATUS 

models. These bikes are recommended to the 

riders prefering comfort and a fully equipped 

bicycle. All models have a quality duraluminium 

frame from Al 6061, well proven trekking 

geometry and use as advanced technologies 

as Crono models. All models are from the 

beginning equipped with quality SKS mudguards, 

a grid and LED front and rear light
