The Life Sciences team has developed 3C management, a new methodology that ensures
the success of the construction project by adopting a holistic approach. These strategic
concepts are effective and economical precisely because the entire service portfolio of the
Drees & Sommer Group and its interdisciplinary project experience are brought to bear.
Interfaces to third-party companies have been reduced. From consulting and planning to
construction management and commissioning, the company takes responsibility and
safeguards quality, costs and schedule.
Number of employees up 11 percent to 1,500
Last year, more than 150 new employees were hired. Drees & Sommer is perceived as an
attractive employer. The company offers its employees a wealth of development
opportunities, above all through the wide range of services, international deployment
opportunities, and employee programs such as the company's Vocational Training Academy.
Various offerings for junior staff, such as the intern retention program, have also contributed
to employee recruitment.
Outlook 2013: Innovations for major construction projects and the energy transition
The increasing complexity of construction projects calls for new approaches to execution.
Existing Drees & Sommer Group services are augmented by further development of
innovations in processes, services and tools. For example, lean construction management
with integration of building information modeling contributes substantially to project certainty.
Successful implementation of the energy transition will be a further major challenge over the
next few years. The real estate sector will have to make a decisive contribution here, offering
innovative solutions. By taking a holistic approach, Drees & Sommer will continue to provide
economic and sustainable solutions. During 2013, Drees & Sommer Group management will
adhere to the growth strategy while maintaining its high quality standard.
